Red Dead Redemption 2

so for the bonuses, I bought the basic edition this past Monday through the PS store, so that should count as “pre order” right? Which means I should get the war horse as a bonus, and from what I’ve read, it’s given to you once you get to the stables, but I didn’t get anything. Am I missing something? Lol

 

You might have to unlock a different stable

 

Hey all, so I’ve had a PS4 since it came out but hardly use it. When I saw RDR2 was coming out I had to get it! Anyways, I’ve been trying to download it, fist disc went fine. Then I inserted the second disc and went to bed. It downloaded about half way then paused. I put the system in sleep mode then turned back on and it started to download, only to pause again a few minutes later. Did this whole process a few times. Any thoughts to why this could be happening? I checked my storage and it says I still have about 200 GB. I believe the game is about 100GB correct? So I should have enough room to install. I don’t know what’s going on? How do I uninstall games if I need more room? Thanks for any help you can offer. I’m old and been out of the scene a while.

I'm on XBOX but it sounds like a disc read error. Check for fingerprints or scratches on the disc.

 

Yeah I just got home from work, ejected the disc wiped it off and put it back in, seems to be downloading now. That was strange, since it went straight from the box to the machine. Anyways thanks!

 

Well good news bad news. My long weekend backpacking got cut short. Ankle gave out at mile 2.3 into my planned 45-50 mile weekend. Had to painfully limp out to mile 3.5 where my buddy picked me up.
The good news is I'll have plenty of time for RDR2 for a while since I'm not able to be mobile

 

Try to buy a horse and there should be one for $0 in the stable. You will have to dress it up on your own I think. Lots of horse customization.

 

Freaking hitched my horse, then had to chase a guy on a train...horse still hitched....finished mission and somehow my horse died on the train tracks...wtf

 

Just completed Chapter 1 last night , had to work yesterday and today so haven't got much play time in yet but so far I really like this game

 

I've got probably 6ish hours of gameplay in so far and still in chapter 2. I've been taking my time though

 

Chapter 2 is taking a long time for me as well

 

Same here I just unlocked a New Orleans type city it’s a pretty cool city

 

I can confirm finally that my legendary bear pelt was available when I got to the trapper. Got me a bear hat for cold weather now. Glad they dont make you just lose that stuff, I feel like they should be implemented a storage system more so that just what you can hold..

 

I love and hate this game at the same time. Going into town and some idiot cuts in front of me so horses collide. He starts shooting at me so I kill him and now I'm wanted. Go strait to the Sheriff office and he gives me a bounty. Then outside of town heading towards the bounty I get surrounded and killed.

Another place a woman is trapped under a horse. I try to lift it but wrong button and I kill her. Multiple witnesses so I cant get them all. A few minutes later I'm dead.

 

Don’t gallop your horse in town and don’t hit the wrong button. Lol.

 

Definitely a fine line and little room for error sometimes haha

 

I learned to never go very fast in any of the towns on horse for that reason. I haven't accidentally killed anyone yet, but on one of those 'help me' encounters I helped the person but then accidentally aimed my gun at them and lost the honor I received for helping them in the first place.

 

Anybody encountered UFO yet....that's some straight up Cowboys vs Aliens type shit!
