Yeah fair, I was more thinking of the software/networking aspect than the physical maintenance aspect.

Networking is still black magic to me. I remember calling AT&T to have them process some port forwarding for me so I can view my CCTV system remotely.

I talked to the first tech and I told him I needed Port 60 open, and to allow 192.168.1.234 (for example) through the firewall.

Guy had no clue what I was talking about. I went through 3 different techs who were clueless, eventually I talked to the supervisor and he finally understood me.

I never got that port open to this day.

I decommission old offices and such so I have half of a garage full of rackmount servers, computers, network switchssc routers, and bins and bins of cables. I don’t know what I’m going to do with them.

I hate Apple with a passion but I love their products.

My 2012 MacBook Pro has been the best laptop I’ve ever owned.

There’s value in some of it. Hate to scrap it all.

220 or thereabouts...maybe 250 all highway but that's pushing it. I also haven't accounted for the difference with my 33" tires so it should be a little better than that in reality.

Jesus christ...even when my truck was stock I was lucky to break 300. Crazy

You can do that with electronic ADD too.

All you need is a switch. Seriously. You can even use the same switch you use to actuate ADD.

I love my HDMI antenna. I refuse to pay for cable ever again, and I mainly only watch cable TV for sports, or for the news.

The reviews for the antenna I have said usually you get maybe 10-12 channels. 20 at the most.

At my apartment in San Francisco, I was getting 62. I think it helped I was downwind from the television transmission tower than serves most of Northern California. Haha.

I’m happy with my Fire TV stick for everything else. Netflix, Hulu, and Prime instant video has every show and movie I can ever want. And it’s cheaper than shit tier Comcast or AT&T.

The intercom never got finished. The wires are hidden in the walls. I’m in the process of slowly moving everything to a rack and setting up a home server

You better finish that intercom system I swear to god.

How about a hardwire security system?

Intercom ain’t happening. lol no need anymore. I have the Poe cctv system setup on the other network. It’s completely disconnected from the internet. I have some nest cameras for seeing things from home

Hardwired I meant like window sensors and door sensors.

I’m jealous. I want a PoE system. I have a shitbox Siamese Power/RG56 BNC system from Costco. It’s good, I just hate running and terminating Coaxial. It’s so primitive.

I have a 3RZ/Auto/4.30/4x4. No way the fuel economy different is more than 100 miles. That’s insane.
