Entune, stock headunit privacy/security?

Curious if anyone has any info on this system. I’m wondering about the privacy of this system.

What info would you like?
If it's about tracking, location, etc, entune just uses your phone so whatever information some bad actor can get from your phone (pretty much your whole life history) they can get from entune.
As far as what Toyota gets, it's nothing except what they can get from the black box in event of a accident or some major safety thing like unintended acceleration.

 

Never connect to Entune and they can't get squat but you only need to connect once because they store EVERYTHING. Just do what I did and DON'T connect your phone to Entune. EVER!

 

I see so essentially no GSP tracking, no essential listening etc unless the phone is somehow connected.... well that is assuring. Thanks!

It does not store everything lol but it stores enough zeros and ones to make life easier when you reconnect.
Look, unless you have no phone, no credit cards, never log in to the internet, have no bank account and have no permanent address and don't drive a vehicle made after 1989, then chances are pretty much every single piece of information about you is already out there.
But, this truck is less intrusive than a Chevy or Dodge lol.

If you read the Owners Manual there is a section on privacy, it does say something about Toyota doing data transmission from the truck but supposedly no voice transmission

 

I'm worried about my radio, but the wife just had to had to bring Alexa home. The problem was it's not her friend Alexa the 4Runner dog mom with the perfect round booty

I've got Google assistant talking with either Bixby or Alexa at my place and it's funny to listen to !!! , kinda spooky listening to Al communicating with ea other
