I guess the A340E/F really does eat that much of the fuel economy up.

 

I get 260 mi with 285s, 4.88, 3.4L, auto, calibrated speedo, & mosty street driving. Curious to see what I get on a tank with mostly hwy driving.

With 4.10 & 285s best I get was 230 mi with uncalibrated speedo but of course not accurate as the odometer was reading slow.

 

I get 20.5 mpg highway in my 02

 

You also have bigger tires.
You also sit in SF traffic.

All my mileage is mostly interstate.
I have highway tires.
Ive been told I drive like a grandpa.
NC doesnt believe in traffic outside of Charlotte.

If I’m doing an engine swap, it’s going to be a 2JZ-GTE or 1KD-FTV Turbodiesel.

Both came mated to the A340 series transmission already.

 

It has some pretty expensive stuff on it

 

Buy its not a w16 bugatti engine

 

That mileage I quoted you was highway driving from San Jose, CA to Sacramento, CA on I-80 predominantly. I’m sure it’s less when I use it to commute in San Francisco.

 

If I can find a way to get that truck down here I’ll be doing a 2jz swap

Depends on emissions. But I think I can make it happen.

If anything it’ll be running a Lexus ecu. I’m not doing a turbo one. Going to keep it on the cheap
