Yup, that is an option too. I’m not complaining. Like I said, I have a set on order.

Not sure I see an issue with asking current owners though :notsure:

Sorry missed your question - it bolts from the inside and kinda hangs there. I never bothered to find out how it supposed to be mounted.

Anyone have installation instructions for the skid plates? They didn’t come with any hardware and it seems like some of the stock bolts are too short. Just want to know if I’m doing something wrong

Finally got the CBI sliders on today. Pretty simple install. Going to get skids soon.

    Will do.

CBI did finally reply to my inquiry and confirmed what has been mentioned here that the section of the skid in question does mount to the frame from the inside.

I have rock sliders from CBI that come into contact with the vehicle’s pinchweld on both sides. Eventually the banging noises have mostly gone away from the pinchwelds crumpling. Whoever engineered them at CBI didn’t consider the body flexing on the frame via the body mount bushings. I also have their T3 rear bumper and they accidentally put the hole for the trailer plug on the opposite of the bumper and upside-down, so there’s that. People notice it more than you’d imagine and it’s embarrassing.

Did you contact CBI regarding the fitment issues and the trailer plug?

Yes. No reply on the sliders. The bumper took 6 months to build. I would have to pay the return freight and wait another 6 months for a replacement.

Sorry to hear that. That’s pretty discouraging.

CBI has been at the top of my list for all armor. I just began building and started skids as they are the foundation IMHO (and all I could swing $$$ wise at the moment). The T3 front and rear bumpers were/are still some of my top picks. Poor customer service and build quality can greatly impact my future decisions though.

Can you post some pictures of the wrong trailer plug hole in the bumper, I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them, curious what this looks like...I'm having concerns with waiting so long on the order, after so many days the credit card company won't issue a refund, if the company never delivers.

Think I could tow a 3.5k travel trailer with that bumper?
