Oh what fun. my oldest went to VA Tech and youngest JMU. we visited many schools. good luck. cost me a fortune but was worth it. both have good jobs and on there way to being productive citizens.

 

Good evening from beautiful Las Cruses, New Mexico. Stopped at the little Indian shop up on the Continent Divide and got me a new pair of leather soled moccasins for wearing around the house. They're awesomely comfortable. Didn't get a tonneau cover for the Colorado so everything is on a baggage cart in the room. Made decent time, 80 mph most of the way. Gas mileage is crap because it's all up hill till tomorrow then it's not as bad but it'll probably still be crap.

Mustard, barbecue sauce and dill pickle on a toasted wheat bun for me.

 

Triple meat, fries and a 9 piece chicken and gravy for a center piece.

 

Pretty sure I know exactly what place you stopped at Safe travels.

 

If it was easier to do that every day I would but getting it out setting up and all that is a PITA , I hose down with bleach about every day to keep the smell down and disease etc away. I usually pressure wash once a month if the weather allows it.

The ground here is sandy as hell no matter what if you get the least bit of moisture on your shoes your tracking it back into the house. On the upside if you do step in anything you just hose them off and leave them outside in the shop, mud room etc ,

Holiday Inn Express just off the freeway. We stayed here last year (twice) and we'll hit it on the return trip. It's about as good as you're gonna get for under $100/night. The neighborhood isn't too sketchy. Whataburger is across the street. I have my wife, one son and his gf on the trip and they never had Whataburger before, that's why the chicken and gravy center piece. They were trippin' on the menu selections...nope, this ain't McDonald's.

There's a steak place we went to last time that was really good so we'll probably hit it on the return trip.

You can get a pressure washer with the solution tank. I normally don't put them on, but for what you're doing I'd hook it up if bleach is what you want to use.

 

Since it's NM, that is the large...when we drop over the state line tomorrow it's a kid's size. Everything's big in Texas.
