That’s why the engine can hold speed or accelerate in higher gears with the new Toyota developed ECU tune, and why it couldn’t do it before.

That’s why Toyota fixed the issue with an update... because there was no issue to begin with.

100s of thousands in RD expense to fix something that was basically a non issue.

It seems we can't go more than few days without this crap igniting over and over again.

FWIW, I've had two third gens, one son has a brand new third gen, the other has a second gen. Wife has a T4R. Get the picture? I've got easy access to three different Toyota truck iterations and after driving all three I've come to the conclusion that most of you are speaking out of your asses.

I don't accept the canonization of the second gen or the T4R over the third gen. I do not accept the demonization of the third gen compared to the others. There's a whole group of you that act like a complete and total bunch of spoiled assholes anytime this conversation comes up.

I used to club race Evos about 12 years ago and the banter between Nasioc and EvoM was never this nasty or, frankly bone stupid. At the end we recognized we had a lot in common and the jesting, while hard, was good natured.

What there never was, on either forum, was the complete and overwhelming assholery between generations of the same model. That seems to be a hallmark of TW. There are a lot of great folks on this site, and a lot of information that gets shared. Unfortunately, some of you are such hopeless pricks that you seem hell bent on ruining that experience for others.
