Does anyone know how to remove the plastic interior trim and get under the floor carpeting on the driver side rear? Spilled some milk back there and I want to clean under the carpet to get rid of the smell.

    2017 access cab.

You spilt some "milk" back there at 4am. Sure, bud.

    Respect.

Just pull on it. They are held down by plastic clips. Just pay attention to what piece is on top of which.

That’s way more logical than some wild sex orgy in the back of an access cab Tacoma and some “milk” being spilled.

Pretty sure I’ve grabbed some milk on the way home from work getting off a shift at 3am

Say is was a wild sexy orgy back there. What kind of fluid or discharge would seep all the way through the carpet to warrant cleaning for a smell?

I could think of some crazy stuff but we are probably already treading water. And if I post some type of gif or something, I know a ban hammer will be dropped.

So let’s just roll with the spilled milk as that probably what really happened lol

Smell goes away after a while. The wife likes having her cereal on the way to work in the morning so she's had multiple milk spills. There's no cleaning the holes in the ventilated seats haha

If you ever want to play a foul prank on someone they make these:

Shit, good call. I remember when my daughter was a toddler and would sleep in my bed sometimes. That damn bottle leaking all over and soaking in the mattress. Even using the carpet cleaner on that thing couldn’t get it all out. Perfect way to taint a new 2k mattress :bananadead:

So you know, it happened a few weeks ago and I didn't find the (empty) milk bottle until I went looking for the unbelievably godawful smell. Lesson learned: don't forget you bought milk.

Sorry to disappoint!Cleaned the carpet but there's still some residual odor. I think I need to get under it.

Saw an old bronco at tractor supply yesterday with bedlined floorboards. That's smellproof right there!

A whole gallon of milk?!?! Holy crap! Yeah I bet that was a hell of a smell! But seriously, baking soda all over the carpet may help absorb some smell .

I think that is only going to happen if you get an old truck with no electronics or build one yourself. These days there's wayyyy too many electronics on board.

Heck I wish I could find a lawnmower with no electronics on it. My riding one is giving me all sorts of problems. I went back to my old crappy push mower yesterday. Only took about 4 hours to do with the push mower haha

I got two kids so this has happened to me multiple times (not a gallon though). I’ve never pulled the carpet, but I’ve found that spraying the Lysol disinfecting spray worked best for me. It’s the aerosol looking ones that come in a 3 pack at Costco. You’ll have to do it multiple times over the course of several days.

When my kids were young, one fell asleep in her car seat while holding milk a sippy cup. The cup tipped and the milk spilled. I mopped up the mess, but whenever the weather was warm and the car was sealed up, the smell returned. I tried a variety of deodorizers and cleaners, but nothing seemed to work. Traded in that car...in February!

Half gallon. I did multiple blots with white vinegar, then baking soda sitting on it for a few days. Then switched to Nature's Miracle Advanced. Seems to be almost gone now.
