Any recommendations for a good shop to install Nitro gears in my 3rd Gen Tacoma?

I’d just go through ECGS. Five year warranty on their diffs. I’ve used that warranty twice now. With their exchange program, you really can’t beat it.

Their customer service reputation is great. However, two warranty claims in 5 years isn’t a great selling point.

Ha! I wheel my truck. It’s not their fault I break things.

It IS a great selling point. Where else are you going to get a five year, no questions asked, warranty on diffs that are built with lockers and will obviously be wheeled?

I called them up and said “I broke four teeth off of my ring gear at the off road park this weekend. Also, since you’re changing the ring and pinion anyway, can we go from 4.56s to 4.88s?”

“Sure, I’ll email you a shipping label and we can do 4.88s in the front for the cost of parts and two hours labor” they also resealed both ARBs no charge.

I think you’re looking at this the wrong way lol.

Anyway, good luck whichever way you go

lol I see where you're coming from but ECGS has a great reputation and I wouldn't hesitate to go through them...people who upgrade their gears and add lockers are usually wheeling pretty hard and damaging the gears is an unfortunate part of the game, nothing is indestructible. The fact that they have that kind of warranty and honor it despite knowing that most of their customers will probably push the limits of and abuse the product is a good company to do business with IMO.

^^ I’ve owned KTM’s for 20 years and know all about breakage.
I recind my comment - it is a great selling point.
    Thanks!
