    Looks good!
Yeah I derped my grill surround but it’s not holding up as well as I would like. If I decide to black them out I’ll pull them off along with e the grill surround and actually paint them I think.

Good to hear experience about the grill surround. I have that and the bumper end covers to black out. I was already thinking of OEM replacement parts for those.

Yea i was really happy that it did. Looks like its from a different company and SSO just sells it. the base is just a similar shape that gets mounted between the fairlead and the bumper.

Did a few things today. Built a hoist in my garage to hold my rrt and bedrack. And then installed my bed light kit from @mattgecko. Couldn’t be more stoked.44136836-E008-4D99-B022-82887D3FB435.jpgC61D8429-A1D1-4100-8100-A30CA9ADF0E7.jpg

You wash the wheels, carefully, using a soap that contain no waxes or shine enhancers. I use Optimum soap. Then dry the wheels.

After drying, spray each wheel with some distilled water then use synthetic sponge to apply Dr. Beasley's. You only need about 4 drops on the sponge to get started. As you apply the Matte Coating it turns into a light gel. You can see the areas that you have applied to.
Let it sit for a few seconds then use a clean soft micro fiber to dry area to consistent finish.
I would allow the dried first coat to sit on the wheels for several hours then repeat the process for a second coat.

Also, I purchased that Matte Seal which is supposed to prolong the life of the coat. I cannot tell you how often to apply from experience as I have only had wheels for about a month but if you use the Matte Seal regularly you are suppose to get a year out of the coating. I purchased the larger size of the Matte Coat and that may have been a mistake as I found out later that the shelf life is only 24 months. I don't think I will come close to using it all before that time arrives...

As a side note, if you are using the Dr. Bealey's products, be sure to use a bright light to illuminate the work area (don't do it in direct sunlight). I tried to do it in my garage with iffy lighting and found some unevenness later in bright light. I don't necessarily think it was a defect of the product as I was able to correct it later. Matte wheels just seem to show every flaw when applying coatings...

I am a novice detailer so before you fork out a ton of money on matte coatings, like I did, be sure to do a lot of research and feel comfortable with your purchase. As of now, I am very happy with Dr. Beasley's

So ladies and gentlemen, after careful consideration and extensive research I purchased a 2019 4Runner OffRoad. A grand total of 4 miles on it.. Probably going to leave the 4Runner pretty much stock (ya right)4D1EB060-AAAA-4E5E-A051-59EEC1E8537F.jpg except for wheels and tires and some sturdier skids.
Hope to still see you all out on the trails

Thanks for the detailed response. This is my first time with matte wheels so it wasn't until recently that I was informed that they involve some additional TLC. I haven't purchased or used any products yet, so this is very helpful.
