Dirty, yeah, trip out to Moab in my 2016 TRD OR....Harvey wasted it so got the 2017 TRD OR. Mostly sand, beach and so far a few trips out to Big Bend National Park, Terlingua area. We stay with our friends who live there, they have 400 acres. Have a family farm up in Nacogdoches, 160 acres, mostly sand and some mud.....5 acre lake.....fun to gun and even shoot lots of hogs.
Frankly never really felt a need for a 4x4. Spent my early years traveling chasing waves all over west coast of Mex and Central America mostly in a VW camper van. Many a semi-unpassable road to get to the surf. Learned how to drive without 4x4 some pretty crazy places, adventures.
Bought the 2016 TRD OR since I wanted a bug out vehicle of sorts considering what was going on in this country.....2017 QS TRD OR was better since it doesn’t show dirt etc like the MGM did.
I wash my truck religiously even though I’m not religious. ; )
I use 4x4 mostly when traffic backs up on the freeway and I decide to cut across grassy/muddy median to get to the feeder road.... ; )
Soo.....nah, don’t do any real hard core off roading, not interested in it much less taking a $40K + truck out and tearing it up. IF I was going to off road like that I would go get a 4x4 beater that I wouldn’t care about f*#king up.

    Yepper!
Didn’t like the Pro color choices, the leather seats I didn’t like their styling, no moonroof, and they were $44K+ at the time I ordered my TRD OR for $36, 517.

@SurfratTX Nice rig man! What side steps you running? Also, Looks like you're holding a Smith and Wesson M&P 15...? Could be anything I guess, but like mine, it has that Magpul furniture and in a carbine length!

    Thanks!
I do drive the wife crazy with Tacoma stuff so have to take her out.....with guns. ; )
She’s Russian so in Soviet times when she was in school they had to take apart an AK47 and put it back together....and shoot it.
What I have in my paw is a Sig M400 Enhanced. Love that gun, light and tac on! She has my Kel-etc Sub 2000 9mm with a Glock 33 rnd mag. The Kel-tec is our by-the-bed home defense pew-pew. I was teaching her some muscle memory stuff with the Kel-tec. She’s a badass out to 30 yds. with that weapon. Funny actually.
I have shot the SW M&P...really nice gun and pretty much the twin sis of my Sig pictured.

The side steps I got off of Amazon for around $325 and free shipping. They are 2015 Tacom OEM. They fit, bolt on exactly to the 2016+ Tacoma’s, same exact hole pattern, even though it will say they don’t fit....they do perfectly.

    Yep!
I bought both of my 2016 TRD OR and then the 2017 TRD OR from Toyota Truck Master Dean Malahati at Toyota West, Columbus OH. Drove them back to Texas to pay Texas registration and sales tax.

Cool story! My wife is pretty damn spot on at 20- 30 with the AR...Scary. I keep myself outta trouble too!...haha
Thanks much for the info. I'm not a huge fan of the Predator steps that came on mine. I have to stand back as I step into the truck so I don't smack my shin into them! I definitely like the look of yours. Appreciate the link!:D

Did they catch up to the 1960s and add power seats yet?

That seems crazy in the 2019 car year. The damn taco seats feel like they adjust in 2" increments.
I also wanted to have AC'd seats as we'll.

Maybe they'll make a hybrid taco by then.

Yeah, depends on what mods you will do down the line.
The pro is pricey for what you get, but if that's all you need and aren't hands on it's a good option to get a decent setup.
But, you could get an OR and put much better shocks, wheels and tires for a lot less.
If I get one it would be an OR...
