It’s just the picture angle. The top of the pod is level along with with top line of the Gauge. It’s hard to get a straight on pic.. here’s the best I got
    [IMG]
And a side shot to show how low profile they really are!
Yup that’s my plan... after the gauge pods go I will offer a solid face one is someone wants to DIY their own switches. It’s an awesome location for a few toggle switches, even a aux batter gauge or something.

Pretty sure you have to be a resident of a state in order to tag a vehicle in said state. Each state has rules on what is required to claim residency. Most likely, 6 months in the state, work in the state, recieve mail, etc...

Not strictly true...I think lol I tagged three vehicles in my name between 2012 and 2016 in Texas, while still a CA resident. That being said, I was active duty military at the time, so maybe that played a part with some exceptions, but I don't believe so. Just registered the vehicles at my current address and that was that. Including a title transfer since one of the vehicles was originally a CA vehicle.

True. In Texas I think it was bills in your name at that address, or owning a home as a substitute. Can't remember for sure. Been a few years since I transferred residencies

    Lol @ "not sure"

Anybody who remotely believes that Magnusson has a glimmer of a hope of releasing their SC before OVT is being silly. Maybe if they stopped pushing back the 3GT SC, then they'd have a shot. Hell, URD has a better shot than they do. They released a SC for the 2.7L (4 cyl) last winter and as of spring/summer they said they were in R&D for the 3.5L. Does that mean they're proceeding with more success than Magnusson? Not really, but I would believe they are over Magnusson since they already have a product out for the 2.7L. That being said, I'm sure OVT will launch his turbos before them too

I also agree with the statements made by Matt ovtune.. none of the new trucks or cars hitting the market have superchargers on them... many many many new cars and trucks come fitted with a turbo from Acuras to VW's they all have turbos not blowers

I also just love working on my truck so I don't think id just be adverse to taking the turbos off yearly when its smog time.. I am planning to do the same with my underdog spec u exhaust :spy:

Haven’t been much of an update on these turbos is what I’m getting at. Magnuson won’t lead on they have one in R&D, it will get introduced like the 4runner with a discount to the first round of buyers then released.

I would like to see the twin turbos released.... but when?

Mat quoted roughly Christmas time as the earliest we'd see them released. Realistically though, probably Feb - April I'd think

As for lack of updates, that's because he hasn't been actively working on them for the past 4-6 weeks. He's been completely tied up with development and release of tune v1.05 (3GT) and has stated that after 1.05 is out, then his attention will return to this TT kit

matt is busy with 1.05 but he's a top dog and will have updates for us all soon. I know he's been testing a few diffrent setups already.. magnasooooon talk in riddles Ive tried to pin down one of there reps twice at trade shows and my god they must get filibuster training!

me: are you working on a SC for the 3.5
him : yes we are but the market isn't huge so were not putting a lot behind it now
me: so do you have a gauge of when it should come to market?
him: well we are working on it..
me: have you got to physical testing yet?
him: define what you mean by physical testing

Others have reported similar info-dodging lol I think @Chipi3s has perhaps gotten the most out of a Magnusson rep, but it ain't much. And then just a jibe about a warranty, but it won't matter if OVT ends up enjoying years of availability on the market before their SC hits, along with proof of reliability and results to back it up
