Most guys have just been using my standard mount and tack welding it to there existing flip plate. Quick and easy. Or you can also drill holes and bolt the DuroBumps if you would like.

So the stock front bumps just screw into the lower control arm? There’s no nut?

Correct, All the aftermarket bump stops use a bolt through the center of the bump stop and bolt to the original oem bump stop location. There is a nut that is welded internally from the factory.

Channel-locks or anything similar works great to remove the stock bump stop.

The nut is welded in and they just unscrew. Then you screw the new bump in with the provided 14mm bolt.

Looks like I need to make an order. Do the front wheels need to be off the ground to do it?

They dont but it helps to jack the front up to get the LCA away from the bump stop mount. I did one side with no jack and used a jack on the other side to give my hands more room.

Correct, there is a threaded rod on the bump and an insert in the LCA

I'd hit up matt over at @M C M . He sells ADS and fabricates a lot of parts for them. He can probably answer most, if not all of your questions.

ok guys i need some help. i know nothing of lifts. but from briefly looking thru these threads it seems ADS is the way to go. i have a 2012 TRD Off Road 4x4 double cab. my usage would be mainly on road but i need to get off road for hunting and occasionally have some fun in the mud when it rains a lot. nothing super serious. plus i want it to look good too. was thinking maybe 4" lift, 17" rims, 33s...? i don't need top of the line but i most definitely don't want anything cheap. willing to go top of the line if it's worth it and will last me longer than an above avg set up. help!

I'd do a little more research. If you need a 4 inch lift with minimal real off road usage then you are going down the wrong path with the top of the line ADS suspension. Lift needs vs suspension needs are not always overlapping.

Not trying to push you away from ADS. They are awesome and I love mine, just seems like your needs could be met with something for half the price.

If you are in San Antonio, meet up with @riz_atx at one of the TTC meets and he can show off his setup. I think there's another Austin/SA type that has an ADS setup.

    Heck yeah!

Come to COTA for Cars N Coffee this Sunday. Ill be there. You really cant go wrong with ADS. One thing though, they are mostly providing 2.5-3" of lift, so if you can deal with that, it would be all good. Either way, chat with Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and she can get you the info's

The max you can do is 2.5-3” unless you go with something like BDS (don’t recommend that). It’s either function or form. If you stay under 3” you can get a lot of functional options that will look great depending on what tire size and width you choose. I run 17” wheels and love 255/75r17’s (32” tire). This way you maintain power, mpgs and looks

The problem with those big lifts like BDS is that your undercarriage reduces your clearance and becomes a snow plow

Or just call ADS. I got my shocks cheaper straight thru them

We are back from Morris Mountain ORV and I must say I am extremely pleased with how the suspension performed and how well the @Plastics Guy Durobumps performed. I couldnt tell I was hitting bump stops and the vehicle felt very controlled on all off camber situations and when I was fully stuffed or at full bump. Very successful shakedown trip and I would highly recommend both the ADS suspension and Durobumps. This trip was more clay and rock crawling, we will be doing faster paced rough roads this Winter and I will be able to comment more on that aspect of the performance but at this point these two products work very well and compliment each other perfectly.

I went with the 4.25" durobumps in the rear also, just to clarify. OME HD Dakars. I wish I had gotten pictures of the vehicle at full bump to show the bump stops in action but I was too busy having fun. Lol.

I spent a day this weekend adjusting my ADS level 3 suspension kit and installing my C4 front bumper in preparation for picking my my GFC this weekend. I finally got around to taking some measurements so I figured I would post them for anyone interested.

Initial heights for front suspension ADS factory settings
    Passenger: 12 3/8" spring, 3/8" thread showing
    Driver: 12 1/4" spring, 1/2" thread showing

Final adjustment to preload to compensate for 130 lb+ front bumper and increased ride height to bring it closer to the rear
    Passenger: 11 3/4" spring, 1 1/8" thread
    Driver: 11 5/8" spring, 1 3/16" thread

Final center of wheels to bottom of fender flare
    Driver Front: 23"
    Passenger front: 23 1/8"

    Driver rear: 24 3/4"
    Passenger rear: 24 3/4"

    Install notes:
-Don't forget to loosen the set screws
-It would have saved a little time if I would have adjusted the position of set screw before install. It was tucked into a hard to reach spot on the driver side.
-WD-40 and the spanner wrench or hole punched works just fine for adjusting springs once the tire is lifted.
-Probably would have been easier after removing the tires for easier access
-The set screw is imperial not metric
-I based my adjustments on this emailed response on TW "For every 3 clockwise rotations you should gain 1/2" of lift. We like to measure the full installed length of the spring at full extension to determine the exact preload. The coil spring free length should be 14". We wouldn't recommend going further than 11.75" installed length." However it seems like one full rotation is more like 1/8" each.
-Also, when it comes to measuring spring length, threads, etc. How exactly does one come up with 14"? I.e. 12 3/8" + 3/8" = 12 3/4" not 14". Those measurements don't include the black compression plates at the top and the bottom of the springs, so I assume that is the extra 1 1/4" that I am missing. Thoughts?
