There’s no free lunch; it’s not a mechanical beadlock. Without the mechanical connector it’s going to depend on the tire/sidewall/fitment. I run 12 all the time on standard wheels (obviously my wheel tire combo works). If it gets 8-9 and reliably holds the bead; that’s pretty close to beadlock territory.

The real crawlers will always run real locks....

We need more pix!! Especially bronze ones!!

I think all anyone, including myself and Spoon is requesting is quantifiable justification for the "innovation". A simple side load test of how much force is required to bust loose a bead on the new 701 vs another wheel (even your own) without the new "tech" would speak volumes and is bizarre that it's not already available to backup the claims.

Then again it was debuted at Overland Expo so maybe its just for hanging out in dirt fields and at parking lot meetups.

It's using the simple principle of friction (Dry) to oppose the relative lateral motion of two solid surfaces in contact. I don't think anyone here is going to confuse it with the clamping force of a true beadlock. Let's not get our panties in a bunch over some marketing lingo.

We do have some lab bead retention testing in progress. I will post the results once they are available.

We're experiencing back-end display issues with the MR701, so right now you can't find them on our website - my apologies!

We do have two sets of the black finish available and two sets of the bronze finish available. The breakdown is as follows (either finish).

    (x4) 17x8.5 MR701 - $194.00 each
    (x4) Shipping - FREE
Discount - $50.00 INSTANT Wheel Savings

OTD - $726.00 (+ Sales Tax on orders shipping to AZ, TX, OH, and GA).

Thanks for sharing that mate. Point to consider is that allot of us buy sets in fives because we need that spare when we damage a tire out Bush. If I order five will I be told no to keep the sets of four intact?

Anyone wanting to buy a set of five Hutchinson Rock Monsters? Have one set to shake loose now and if I like these another set of five later.

Thank you for reaching out, GT!

We're also a big contributor in the Wrangler community so we're familiar with sets of five and we will never limit a customer's purchase to only a set of four(4)

Shoot us a PM when you're ready to order and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
