Has anyone had any issues with the WeatherTech window deflectors pushing the weatherstripping out as shown in the pictures below? It is doing this on the backside of the driver and passenger side front windows only. Obviously I am shoving a foreign object in there that can cause problems, but I have had these installed on multiple vehicles with no such issues and have not heard of anyone with a Tacoma having the same issues.

The place I bought them from installed them when I had the truck in for other stuff. I double checked myself and they were installed correctly. Ordered and installed another set and the same problem persists. There does not appear to be any issues inside the channel to cause it and the window operates normally.

Maybe trim it with an X-Acto knife?

Yes I am going to try that once I hear back from Weathertech. Before I did that I wanted to make sure they would refund my money if I altered them and it caused them to not stay in the channel anymore.

Just wanted to see if anyone else on here had the same problems.

Yep, had the exact problem at the sides and top. I chamfered the sharp corners on the ends with bench grinder and removed a little bit of material where the metal clips get inserted. They should fit fine after that.
I was disappointed with weather tech and their attention to detail on these.

For the price the weather tech should be perfect. I went and ordered the AVS from Amazon and have been happy with fit & finish from day one. I think they were also half the price (roughly)

Good to hear you were able to get them to work atleast. I am not thrilled about having to alter them either though.

For the fronts did you just grind the spots where the arrows are shown below or did you have to do more than that to make it work? I want to be sure I’m not doing too much and messing up the pressure fit.

Nice setup you have there. The window deflectors look great, but my attention keeps going to the wheels/bumper/sliders instead haha.

Thanks, it's a softtopper. It's great. I got it 2nd hand and the only thing I did was put in new weatherstripping under the rails. A tiny bit of water leaks when it rains a lot, but if you have a bed mat, it just goes under it and drains out. Everything stays dry inside.

Thanks! The window visors definitely completes the look though. I do need to touch up spray my sliders though now that you've mentioned it...
