How do you delete radio stations on the head unit??

Read the manual, can't find shit in there!!!

 

Can’t delete only replace. Found out the hard way myself.

 

You can take it down from 12 or higher to 6, but yes, once you have 6 you always have 6.

 

No equivalent to ctrl-alt-del to reset?

There is a setting in Entune called delete all personal info. Not sure if it deletes all presets. Seems to me, someone on TW said unhook the battery might erase the presets.

 

Disconnect battery won't remove them. After setting it to display 6, I have 2 stations in the list once and 2 stations in the list twice. And I can't believe Toyota didn't realize that this might actually be a customer convenience thing.

 

Just tell it to “delete preset #”?

Edit: you will have to check if that’s the right command to do it though, I remember it asking me to do that by mistake and I thought it would be useful in the future.

 

For heaven’s sake, NEVER delete preset 42. But don’t panic if you do

battery disconnect will wipe the presets and everything else the radio has (phone pairing, etc) and also wipe the ecu learning on how you drive.

 

This also has driven me nuts lately. Even trying to rearrange the stations differently.

The group (Naughty By Nature) made sure the lyrics related to both men and women, which gave it a broader appeal. They also wanted to make sure the audience could participate in the song ("yeah, you know me...) so when they played it in clubs the audience wouldn't just stand there. This was one of the first rap songs that crossed over to pop radio. Many Top 40 stations refused to play it because they thought it would drive listeners away, but many added it as it became a hit.

Other than replacing a radio preset with another one, the only way I know is to go into general settings, delete personal data. That will clear EVERYTHING. I do that before I trade a truck in. I was frustrated there is no other way. If you do that you have to start over with all of your settings.

 

I'd like to get rid of the XM. Dang dealer was being nice and set up a few local stations where I bought the truck.

False. Replaced my battery the other day. All radio presets and settings still there, phone still paired. Only thing it cleared was the mileage trips.
