I've always wondered if they did that to get kids to miss class and risk dropping out. No bs. I know we had a strict policy of 2 classes a semester or you're done.

Every school does it. Post meal time was like clockwork. I remember reading somewhere it was so people don’t keep food in their system long enough to get food poisoning or something along those lines.

St. Mikes is in Winooski, which is walking distance to Burlington, the biggest city in VT. Not exactly the sticks if you ask me. UMass was more "in the sticks" if you ask me. I used to bang a chick at UVM and when I went there it felt like the big city to me compared to UMass.

Just confirming that it wasn't the girl that felt like a big city?

Not sure of the student body at St. Mike's but UMASS has a lot of people on campus, basically a town in a town. Amherst tries to portray a certain look. Now go to Sunderland and sure you're more rural, along with parts of Hadley and surrounding towns

Yeah I've heard this too, I think its how they get by feeding you such slop.

@TreeFortRichard See, compared to where I live, anything over about 5-6k people is a pretty big city, and a real city is unfathomable to me, I couldn't even find my way around Raleigh in 6 years. When I visit NYC and stuff I look like an idiot farmer who can't stop staring at the city sights. Burlington had more than enough to do, nevermind I could drink beer without hiding it from my parents and the :rasta: was good, cheap and easy to get.

@jethro @tacobell007 You both have good points, it really can be both ways depending on how you look at it. They both have a few schools all bundled up too. Probably pretty similar if someone pulled some stats.

Anyone going to the New England Patriots VS Green Bay Packers game this coming Sunday? I'm going and my Taco may be making an appearance for the tailgate if anyone wants to meet up.

Ticket prices for that game two weeks ago were around $500 for 1 ticket in 300 level! Prices seem to be dropping throughout the day and I would expect the same as the week goes on. My girlfriend and I don't have tickets yet but will be purchasing this week and staying in East Boston with her sister.

I've been to Boston once, never NYC.

Boston I couldn't stop looking up at the really tall buildings. Biggest thing we have is probably the Crowne Plaza at what, 14 stories? And pretty much everything else tops out at 5-6.

And it's so UGLY. They have GLASS buildings in those big cities! And the bridges..don't even get me started on the tunnels! I love tunnels and bridges and we have such small bridges around here and the tunnels are tourist attractions.
