The place I'm working on is basically a nice but private range. It's fully covered, though, so rain isn't an issue. Basically, bring all the guns and ammo you want to shoot and go nuts (but safely).

 

Do you know if we would have to provide targets and stands?

 

How bout full auto?

 

They have stands. If we bring our own paper they won't charge us. Good questions to ask when I call in a bit (got to get out of these meetings first).

 

Not sure that's legal except at specially designated areas and in Mexican drug cartel firefights.

 

They have full auto weapons for rent at The Range.

 

In, @T4Rgurl , here's you a chance for some lead therapy

 

They're paying $$$ for the ATF licenses for that too. I'm cheap.

 

I think they have a full auto AR, MP5, M249 and a couple of others.

 

I need lead therapy, crazy fast road therapy , heavy punching bag therapy

The Range does have full auto. I am a member there so for my birthday I received a free 1 hour rental. It was awesome!

 

Me too - ran through $50 of ammo in 10 minutes with an MP-40.

Okay everyone, I spoke to Owner #2. He and Owner #1 (whose property it is) are going to chat. Right now the range is by appointment and for class, plus private shooting (these guys shoot A LOT). They can run up to 10 bays simultaneously (pics to follow), and their major rules are A) safety first and B) no alcohol while shooting. They are still getting their web site for CHL and advanced classes set up, but both are licensed instructors and crazy good shooters.

They also have an extensive collection of firearms in various makes and calibers, and are willing to do a "you bring the ammo and feel free to try it out" if there's something you're wanting to try before you buy.

Likewise, I have a 9mm and .45, and am happy to let y'all shoot your own bullets through it (as long as it isn't at me).

They do have standard silhouette targets, and we'd need to bring anything else. I like to make sure I have targets and tape whenever I go shooting as a way to make the "one free target" for the range bay last for an hour. I just tape another target onto it and keep shooting! They also have some steel targets to shoot at if you need to hear that "ting."

BTW, for anyone on the south side who’s seen that camo-wrapped lifted DC first gen with the soft topper - this is his place!

 

If this ends up being on a Saturday I might drive up. Do they have caliber restrictions?
