doesnt matter the purpose.... Full pack or nothing, you are just going to waste time dealing with the stock floppy noodles called leaf springs.

well yes it does. But my point was, if you are looking for a lift, regardless of your purpose, skip the AAL's I have been SO SO much happier with my OME mediums than ANY combination of AAL setup i have had on my stock 3+1 pack.

Personally, I’d avoid OME after my recent experience. If tou plan on carrying any weight.

Their tech department recommended the hd leaf packs with 2 AAL’s for the weight I was going to be constantly carrying in my truck (750-800lbs). The leafs oack was rated as 660lbs and as per them each AAL provides 15% extra constant weight rating or a total of 30% extra for a new constant weight rating of roughly 860-880lbs (quick math here).

I’ll grab a pic of my leafs later and post em up here. They are inverted and I just purchased air bags to try to offset some
of the weight on the leafs. Until they figure out what to do warranty wise as it was them Who recommended the leafs and AAL as I was going to go with deavers.

Anywys something to keep in mind with OME. There leaf packa don’t seem
To be able to hold the weight. Prt
Of the reason, I am selling the decked system as the the leafs started to flatten out with out the camper on the back. And the suspension barely moved while on the truck.

TIL “carrying any weight” = 750-800lb constant load

Wel for camping it doesnt take much when ya add it all in. Camper, rear
Bumper, recovery gear, frudge, etc. It adds up quickly.

My buddy on badically a stock tacoma
Again with nonrear seats, a canopy and decked system is 200kg over the gvwr.

Respectfully you are trying to turn a Tacoma into a 3/4 ton super duty. If your base load rests on the overloads the suspension isn’t going to move very much.

I admire you guys building a truck you can live out of like an RV but wouldn’t a trailer make more sense?

Well by camper, I just mean a canopy with a RTT (drifter) on the top. And no a trailer does not make more sense, you can't get to half the places with them in tow.

Also don't like out of it. I use the truck to get to remote places to see areas. I've done ground camping/RTT/etc and to be honest the weight of them all hasn't change that much. I do miss the simplicity of motorcycle/back pack camping, but in the long run or on long distance trips, it sucks
