Also it didn't help my issue. In thinking the bubble could be in the ABS system or still stuck in the master.

Yeah. Ill keep trying to bleed the wheels but if its not good by Saturday, its going to the dealer. Thankfully the issue only exists while the truck is parked and at idle. Still driveable.

Do you need to activate the abs to bleed it? I know my brothers car you had to or you could drive on gravel activate it bleed and repeat a few times.

Yeah, it needs a toyota specific scan tool.

Some fluids turn a dark yellow. Some turn green. Just flush it out and replace it with some decent quality stuff and you’ll be fine

I flushed it all out, I'm just concerned how fast it turned green. I originally flushed the system when I did my Tundra brakes, so about August 2017.

Water getting into the system would be my first thought. Humidity. But your in Cali.. humidity is rare. Could also just be mixed with shit that was stuck in there

Just like regular brakes unless you’ve ran the abs dry.

Hybrids and hydro boost systems are the ones that are a bitch to bleed and need scan tools

    Shouldnt have to.

I honestly use a mutyvac on any brake system with abs or without and I’ve never had an issue

A brake bleed at my dealer is 1hr so. 130 plus fluid..

Unless it’s a hybrid. Then it’s anywhere from 2 hr to 4 hours depending on what’s gotta be bleed

Hmmm. Would I be safe to crack the lines coming out of the master while someone holds the pedal down to bleed it? Im really thinking theres an air pocket stuck in my master cylinder. Or, is there anything servicable under the dash? This issue is honestly baffling me.

I wouldn’t advise messing with the master. Good chance you’ll just end up with more air

Ok. I only asked as this is the process that Haynes recommends for my 92 pickup. 1028182120.jpg
