I didn’t have a choice. It was either new rims or spacers. Went with rims. They are rashed up.

So the DSSV front shocks are $4200 US a pair i.e. 3x as much as Kings. Good to know if your shocks ever leak past warranty. Wonder if you can just take them to Multimatic at 404 & Hwy 7?

Yeah thats msrp, i can get the stock shocks for about 7-800 now.

But yes, it would probably be a better upgrade to do all there parts with the shafts and uca and go with kings

My plan is kings after this year, radflo has a coilover and rear shock being built amd tested specific for zr2 right now. People will follow

That would be cool to take it there, but no one knows if these are rebuildable yet and no ones done it

That seems high?!? Mine are $5 a piece. Wondering if you could get the ones from the van that the engine shares with for cheaper.

Several plugs will work, but if you want the long service life of the factory plugs, Denso Iridium Long Life FK20HBR8, they are $18 apiece on Rock Auto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5706984&cc=3354143&jsn=15&jsn=15&jsn=15 (Hence $30 with the typical stealer markup.)

The Denso Iridium TT plug is less expensive but may not last as long: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=6276825&cc=3354143&jsn=14

Other brands from Champion, Autolite, etc. don't have the three ground electrodes like the Denso plug, and may not work reliably.

I found all the plugs available at ct were more expensive than the dealer. Always got oem plugs for $4-5 each. Considering the ones at ct were in the $10-20 range.

^Yeah CT markup is at times worse than dealer markup. With the 1GR, sticking with OEM copper plugs means changing them every 48,000 km though. I went with Denso Iridium Long Life when I did mine so I won't have to touch them for another 160,000 km. Paid $6.80 ea. in 2014 at Rock Auto. Now it's $8. The same P/N is included in the TRD supercharger kit, presumably because the plugs are harder to access with the supercharger installed...

    Oh gotcha.
I change mine every 60k km (thought that was the interval). Will have to look into that I guess.

^Correction, the Iridium Long Life for 1GR is $8, same P/N as the plug for the 2TR for 2005-2015. Odd, the 2TR for 2016+ calls for a different $10 plug.

Ct only had E3 brand for my tuck. I think it was $16 for a pair and the guy even said theyre cheapo ones.
Definetly going to try rock auto. Manual says every 60k... i hit 80.
I think the Denso Iridium Long Life FK20HBR8 is the best bet thanks

    Well, for the record here...

    87,500 kms

All parts on this truck are stock where it means something. So, reluctantly I'm excluding the Heritage grille, and my ridiculously awesome, solid 1lb of Titanium goodness, that my right hand pilots.

So, original breaks, exhaust, battery, shocks, tires, rims, all gear fluids, spark plugs and even a Toyota recalled crank position sensor that I should really get on to.

Man, that really sounds like I don't take care of my shit...one day ill regale y'all with the orig equipment on the wife's 250K 2006 rav4.

Anyhow, they are underselling the OEM spark plugs in the 3rd gen if they are claiming 48K changes. Even with the apparently punky CPS I run i have not seen any degradation of operation or MPG to the present date.

    YMMV.

US manual says 60k miles: https://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/omms-s/T-MMS-16Tacoma/xhtml/T-MMS-16Tacoma.html?locale=en

The Canadian booklet isn't easily downloaded, but if you use the online maint. schedule on Toyota.Ca, the interval is 96k km. You can do this next year.
See above. You have time. 48k is for 2nd gen V6 with copper plugs.

Spark plugs "wear" by eroding the electrode surface with the spark, so the gap will gradually grow, increasing the ignition coil's workload. I don't think you'll see an MPG hit unless the plugs are really worn as to cause intermittent misfires, but you might shorten the life of the ignition coils.
