Here's the list I compiled for my buddy. His budget is $3,000 - $5,000. His requirements were extended cab, and automatic.

Any of these trucks stand out to you guys? After all this research, it seems the Tundra has a better price to performance value.

You said he's gardening? I'd look at f150s with the 8ft bed

Yeah, he owns a gardening business. He did say he planned to buy a 900 dry trailer, however. I told him the Tacoma could tow that (with a load) fine, but the Tundra or an American truck would be better for that.

I don't know the reliability of F150's, which is why I recommended Japanese trucks to him.

I’ve found that as long as they’re home in time for church they’re pretty down.

There's a reason that the f150 is the #1 selling American truck for so many years running. They're very reliable. Even better if you get a stripped down early 2000 model with the 5 speed and 8ft bed

Are you getting a finders commission? Cause you’re putting a lot of effort into this.

I'll shoot him a few listings.

What about the RAM's, or the Chevy's?

There were a few different trans in those in just 1984-1988 there were four different trans offeren in z cars so I imagine the truck we're similar. You have a model # for the truck or at least a year

The 90's and early 2000's F150's are fugly. Almost every car out of the 1990's to early 2000's are hideous. It was that transition from boxy to curved body styles.

But they seem to be good trucks, so I can't complain.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a Chrysler anything outside warranty and the Chevies are a mixed bunch, they're just fine but kinda like a Toyota they'll nickle and dime you to the end of the earth.
