    Did you leave the tape and just not peel the red off or did you remove the tape from the cover?

    I am very happy with my bumper caps. I will try to get a quick photo soon. Easy install, no issues. Took about 10-15 mins. I did not use the tape.

    Did you remove the tape or just not peel the red film and leave the tape in place?

    In my instance I utilized plastic bicycle tire tools to trial fit the caps. I fussed for at least 20 minutes with the 1st & half that with the second. After getting them on they were so snug I merely used the three bottom plastic fasteners on each & decided to call it "good" for the time being. That was three weeks ago. I left the tape on & never pulled the non adhesive cover off the tape. This is working well so I'm hesitant to pull the caps & go for the adhesive as I have doubts about my ability to fit these without getting them stuck in the wrong position.

    This has been at least 500 miles ago, four times off road & several pressure washes & they are still good to go.

    I didn’t do anything with 3m tape, red strip is still on. I’ve hand mine on there for over 1000 miles and so far hasn’t moved any.

    Yes, I used the tape. Perhaps it isn't needed, but I wanted a tight fit. To each his own I guess.
