Looking for Feedback on ARB 2500 awning

iso reviews on the arb 2500 awning. Decent for under 300$ ?

 

Ive had the $120 6' awning from Walmart, and a 4' ARB awning. There are slight differences in quality, but if I were to do it again, id get the Walmart one.

bit the bullet on an Alu Shadow Awn. 4x the cost but after reading and hearing from others, guess the ARB is ok...but ya get what you pay for i guess.

 

There is nothing wrong with ARB, had it on our van for year long travels and it served for us really well. Would buy another one and recommend to friends. It's very simple product so there are downsides to it, but it works.

I ordered a 7 ft awning on eBay for $80. Used it for 2 months, left for Australia. One of my mates manages an arb retail and fitting shop. they do not build the awnings they sell, they come from China. He said it’s probably the same awning. They also do not build their fridges, they are made by some cheap ass fridge company, with a dometic compressor. Arb is a joke down here for anything besides springs

 

i have the arb 2000 on my xtra cab and i think the 2500 would be to big.. more for a 3/4 or 1/2 ton..

 

Just left the arb shop. Got confirmation that OME suspense is just the heavy duty gas model made by Monroe. Arb just changes the sticker and thats IT

 

Your talking about the Dakar springs or awning?

 

OME shocks and the awning. I am trying to point out that arb shit is just rebranded Chinese shit, so stop comparing everything to them
