Mandatory tint, in-channel visors, and 265/75R16 MT Toyos.
Something about 50lbs of road force was going on with that tire. Toyota warrantied the tire and gave a new one and the new force was 15lbs right in line with the others. All those weights gone lol

Did the hidden lightbar add on tonight! Used nevadabugle's corner brace tip from the mod form!
Also used a Cali raised OEM style light bar button, fits perfect in my dummy button spot by the bed light!

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
MaxxTraxx Mounting Pins & Prinsu Rack

I modified the mounting pins so that I did not have to drill my bars.
    - I cut the threaded studs off the bottom using a lathe and hacksaw.
    - Then ran a 1/4 20 Taco thru it.

Pics of the original Maxtraxx Mounting pin, modifications made and finished work. Sure I could have drilled a giant hole they my bars, but that’s too easy ;)

Yesterday, after 12K+ miles.....I finally had to test out the brakes.

I've been running mud tires for the last 7K+ miles and wasn't expecting them to bite as well as they did.

Driving 45mph in a 45mph zoned paved road. 72 degrees. Small sedan in front of me locked up her brakes and I did as well.

My Tacoma stopped well ahead of her car. Slung everything off my passenger seat to the floor, but stopped really fast....much better than I'd have done in my last midsize 4x4.

Evidently she was intending to make a left turn and almost drove past the road and locked up her brakes to make the turn. Crazy driver.

Enjoyed the super weather once I got home.

    Figured I'd wash the Taco.

Used up the very last bit of V07 that I have, too. Foam cannon & two bucket hand wash. All is well.

She was still drying off when I used the tailgate for a grillin' table.

Later on I was putting everything up and glanced at the truck as I was walking by. It hit me how much I love the chrome & black.

I had it happen once when ice built up around the sensor area. It hasen't happened again since. There is a TSB for an issue with those on the 2016 Tacoma: T-SB-0213-17.

I too tested my brakes yesterday when a girl swerved into the side of me on i20.
I was pissed! As I was on the way to get a new battery for my Fj40, and you should have heard that sucker bounce around in the back!
Jesus, my poor speaker grill is trashed because of that $hit driver.

Pop that out and fastened it to the opening to the left, it will eliminate the tension and make it easier to hang.

    :pccoffee: Good morning @TacoPharm

What size tires are you running? I've been thinking about adding spacers, as I did on the 2002.

I highly recommend Collinite! Withstands detergent and high pressure laser washes. Best I've ever used. Google it and check out the reviews.

    :pccoffee: Good morning @DubfromGA

That's a sharp truck! That black shines up mighty fine, I miss my black 2004 sometimes. Where'd the grill upload_2018-10-30_10-4-40.jpg come from, and the key fob upload_2018-10-30_10-6-23.jpgcover?

I'm glad to hear the brakes worked w/ the mud tires. Did the braking sensor activate? Sometimes mine will and other times just crickets from it...

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Based on your (and others) recommendation, this is what I had them use on my baby over at the spa a couple weeks ago. Looking good right now, we'll see how well it holds up against our MidWestern winters.
