I know right!!! We are already starting to get old(er), and a handful of friends already have them, and damnit if I'm not starting to think they are kinda cute. I got a few years to complete all of the mods before they come and it's game over for a solid 18years or so.

The key is to not cut truck funds off completely. The truck is a family thing for us (camping, off-roading, etc). As much as Heather will say this ain’t true, she enjoys the freedom it provides :)

I have a feeling that's how things will be with us. She loves the truck and the places it can take us. When kids are in the picture, car seats can be added and they will enjoy our adventures

Another 1 psi. Imagine that.

Now you by implementing the idea are able to run a regular size pulley because you have such a small blower pulley as of right now, for the rest of us I am working on finding a small enough pulley to be able to fit up top without supercharger pulley interference. I just have to actually get the pulley itself and examine it to make sure it will not only be up to par, but will work in there without any weird fitment issues.

I am thinking a 1 1/4 (1.25") pulley should do the trick. For most of us with pulleys 2.7 or smaller.

In my quest for more boost I finally hit 12 psi tonight in other news. :)

I can tell the stock tensioner spring is not capable of handling high tension after running the beef tensioner. Boost fluctuates more.

I agree, this idler I added up top is 2” diameter. There’s still about 1/6 of an inch between it and the other pulleys. So 1 1/4 is a pretty good fit I’d say.

I got mine ordered after researching and dealing with all the other pulley crap I have been dealing with lately on our setups.

The idea is to make all this stuff easy to access and easy to adapt to a multitude of different sized setups which is why I have been slowly getting all this stuff researched up. The pulley for the double wrap mod will be here on Thursday and I'll report back what I have found at that time and if little to no modifications are needed for it to be ready for the big time.

You are lucky because you have the space to be able to find more readily available pulleys without doing a whole lot of legwork in searching.

Indeed. I even found the two wrap pulleys for almost nothing at scrap yards here.

Damn! That's wild man! Excellent find and I'm glad it was able to work well for you! I can't wait to see how much I gain after not only implementing the double wrap mod, but changing the tensioner back out to the Thump unit with the double bearing billet 50mm pulley AND switching out to the NST crank pulley. this thing is going to be one killer and fast revving setup!

Literally just waiting on deliveries at this point. The 50mm double bearing pulley shipped today from LFP out of Texas. Two day shipping should put it in my hands by the end of the week and I'll see the pulley for the double wrap mod by Thursday. The NST pulley is the only question mark in how long it'll take to get here.

Nice! I want the NST crank pulley too...

What was the reason you temporarily removed the Thump tensioner again? Idler wasn’t lining up?

Everything was lining up okay, but the reason it did was because I spaced the idler which was a stock transfer over from the OE unit which was initially not going to line up with the crank pulley track.

In order to space the idler out I had to kick the bearing out 1/8" out from where it originally rested. A condition which is unique to the Thump unit only I have reason to believe due to it's sheer massive size in thickness at the base plate. I would had been fine with it, HOWEVER, at the base there is an inner sleeve which the pulley bearing race rests in which no longer rested in the majority of the race, so due to reduced race engagement with the sleeve, I did not want to risk sleeve breakage with as much boost and tension that bearing is under at all times.

I'd rather do it right and the double bearing pulley will allow me full inner sleeve and race engagement without need to do any additional spacing due to increased overall pulley width.

Upon removing the Thump tensioner and inspecting I found that there was no notable damage or would had been increase in wear, but less than half inner sleeve engagement as well as bearing race engagement would be something that would always be on my mind and I want overall piece of mind on my build.

On aside note, it's funny how your build and my build are pretty close to being on par after we get all this stuff said and done on it. :D

Yeah, we are like pioneers of the TRD supercharger. Pushing the limits.

That sounds fun. If we meet in Calgary, @Speedwaytacotuesday is also a Calgarian, I'm sure he'd be down as well.

Man that's piss poor customer service. I've always kept the Ucon as an possible option but service like that pretty much takes it off the table for me. Hard to want to support a guy like that.

Unfortunate that he's such a good source for parts for our trucks.

Sounds like one of us will need to learn tuning for our trucks.
