I use it if I need to start the car before getting in to drive off. You can also leave it in gear and turn the ignition to crawl to a start and drive off. Tried it once to see it work but don’t foresee really needing it here in Florida- not too many cliffs or ledges lol

Interesting...I didn't even know that you could do this with that button. Is this something that was written into the owners manual that I missed?

I typically use it in the winter to heat up my truck as I am brushing off snow.

Yup. 4lo. Helps if you done muffed up and you stall it out on a gnarly incline. With the third gen hand brake it's all good now. Not that it was terrible with the second gen.

It uses the starter the whole time in crawl mode. Do you guys think it’s too much load on a starter? Expensive part!

Crawling with it in a tricky spot is what it is for, I believe that is why the manual has a key for the ignition instead of the push to start button

You know, never put 2+2 together on that one. Thanks for pointing that out.

I used it when my clutch crapped out and I couldn't press the clutch pedal in far enough to start the truck.

No concerns at all. I've only needed it a half dozen times since I bought the truck, but each time I think "this is cool."
