yup. rear locked, 4hi, sometimes I'll manually shift.. but I usually just leave it in 3rd and let it pull and do its thing. shifts hard and fast. I hit 70-75 by the end. its not a full 1/4 obviously. Icant wait to try it again with more boost and the re-gear. :goingcrazy:

My exhaust scared some guy in a ram 1500 yesterday lol. He gave me the bird after he tried to get me to road rage with him. Sorry big fella, not interested in that game. I was hoping he would pull up next to me at the light so we could run, but no dice o_O

So what’s your injector duty cycle at WOT? Both of you should be close to 90% so close to see level and TRD tune. Have either of you done a scan gauge at WOT and see in real time? Just curious @12TRDTacoma @o0opackersfano0o

I don’t have a scan gauge. And techstream doesn’t show duty cycle

Fuel pressure hitting 53 psi. I think I’m all set. Can’t be scared. She loves boost! Gonna get some meth tho just to keep her a little richer. And cooler her down and bit. More power!

I dont have a scan gauge either and my snap on software does not show injector duty cycle either though I really wish I could see that info.

@rjbiii truck would just fuck up out of nowhere. Misfire not run etc, stuck on the sode of the road at the mercy of the ucon deciding to work.

Once I took it out, never happened again. If I ever get it sent back and no one buys it, Ill rock some bullets through it. I really really really hate it. Those days where I was breaking down once a day were fucked. But I didn’t have time to remove the ucon, injectors etc for awhile

@12TRDTacoma it runs good. My tranny sometimes “forgets 5th” as others have mentioned. But that happened before the VB was installed

Describe what is going on when it "forgets 5th gear?"

1-4th normal. In 4 acceleratng from say 45-65. In there it just holds the gear all the way up to like 35-3600 rpm, then i flick it over to 4, then back to drive, and it shifts instantly

Just gentle freeway acceleration not even in boost

In many cases it occurs mostly because the trans fluid temp is too low. At least that’s how mine works. Did it stock. Did it with Bully Dog tune, did it with TRD tune, does it now with UCON. Did it with the original trans and does it with the IPT trans.

There’s a page somewhere in the service manual that eludes to it, but I don’t remember what page it’s on.

That is a characteristic of the e-transmission's shift logic. Even mine does that, by shifting back over to D you are overriding logic input with your own manual input, causing it to upshift when you shift it back over.

It's normal behavior, as unwanted as it is. Which is why I shift mine manually all the way through all the time. Better performance.

The 2014 does this fairly regularly, regardless of transmission temperature. The fluid volume is adequate.

Never in 95,000mi has the 2010's transmission behaved in this manner.

    Variables:
    4wd vs 2wd (F vs E)
    TRD tune / supercharger
    Age

I'm going to go with updated shift logic due to increasing demands made by CAFE to increase fuel economy. The TRD tune and the 2x4 or 4x4 has nothing to do with it.
