I recently made the jump to 35’s and wanted to get my speedo working properly. I hooked everything up per their instructions and it didn’t do anything. Anyone else experience issues?

By “didn’t do anything”, what do you mean exactly? It’s virtually undetectable aside from it accurately displaying speed and mileage.

Did you check the speedometer against a GPS?

The speedometer was unchanged. It's still off. I checked speed against two GPS devices.

Did you change/program anything besides the tire size?

There's no way to program anything. Plug-N-Play!

Needs to be hooked up to a computer first to program its calculation needs.

Well, I'll be. Wouldn't you suppose that would be included in their instructions?

It’s kind of implied in the step about updating the firmware. Kind of is the operative term though, as it could be more clear.

I didn’t program mine, as my install shop did, however you need to select a few parameters.

So, the big question at the end of the day is, does it work? My new rubber and wheels will be here in a couple weeks and just wondering if I should spend the time and money on this, or just mentally compensate for being 11% out on my speedo...

I do the mental thing... if I’m going the speed limit, I’m a little over the speed limit. If I’m way over the speed limit, I’m waaaaay over the speed limit.

Pretty sure this is the only way to recalibrate the speedo.

Yes, if programmed correctly, it works.

It needs firmware updating and tire configuration before installing.

Rough country offers a rebranded version of the hypertech unit at half the cost which uses the hypertech software. If you're running anything bigger than stock tires it's worth it. My speed is now accurate to gps speeds (315/70/17).

Worked perfectly on my Taco. Set the original tire size, entered the new size and away it goes. Took about 10 minutes to install, compared against a gps speedo and it was pretty much bang on. At highway speed was out by less than half a percent.

I can't believe they still don't have one for the 2019... Mine is off by 3 mph.

This morning I was doing some city driving above the speed limit, some 3 mph above. Of course I forgot I was actually 6 mph over the limit.

I remembered the last second before a spot where motorcycle cops like to wait with a radar, and I slowed down. Sure enough, cop was there... I think I would have gotten stopped at 6 mph above speed limit, in the city. Saturday morning, not much going on, so probably I would have contributed some money to the city.

    I really need a calibrator for a '19!

I bought the HT calibrator and neither of my computers will work with it.
I can't download the software or the program
