Later this evening: good news the tune is coming along nicely, bad news though ive run into some issues i should have cleared up “SOON”.

I’d like to know what Toyota did with T-SB-0058/0062-18. They made some significant changes that improved drivability. It feels like there is more torque converter slippage and higher rpms when trying to maintain a higher gear, whereas before it was an abrupt down shift that always felt like a passing gear shift. Much smoother now and no surge in reverse.

Loading 1.04r (91) on top of it added the lower range tq/hp and further improved the truck.

1.05 is going to be great!

My thoughts exactly. Toyota did really well with 0058, I sometimes wonder if I would have bought the tune if I got that first.

I rather have an agressive tune with more drivability and horsepower/torque. Plus the tsb still has tons of misfires i believe? That cant be good in the long term

 

As someone still on 1.04 pre TSB, this makes me so excited. This is my only gripe with the drivetrain.

I think there’s a rumor around that Toyota actually asked mat to adjust their stock tune which is why a lot of people are saying the tsb feels like the 1.04 81 octane tune

 

It’s floating out there. Hope they gave him a six figure check for that one and a job. Sure he won’t say anything. N-D-A
