If the rails are about 1/2" inside the bed rail, they don't "Lean" towards center. It's a finicky fine line. That's part of the tweaking I did today. After that, the front tie downs align the top with the cab, then snug the rear tie downs. They don't need to be "Tight", just snug. Enough to hold it, but not strap it down! As for the clamps, well, I turned them until I felt a bit of resistance, then a turn or two more. Don't over tighten. It's hard to put into words. Hope that helps a bit though. I played with it for a couple hours. You learn by trial and error, but nothing too difficult to correct. You'll get it right.

Yeah, that looks like condensation. If you live in a humid climate, or your weather is changing recently, I wouldn't worry about it.

After 35k on my factory tires finally decided I should upgrade. Went with 265/75/16 K02’s.

Yup, I messed with mine for quite a bit today too. Just now, I put a box wrench on the clamps to see how tight I made them when I tightened them down with the socket wrench earlier today. Sometimes its hard to get a feel for how tight something is when using a socket wrench. With the box wrench they didn't seem overly tight so I think Im OK there. That 1/2 inch seems to work too. Mine ended up at about 5/8 though. The clamps seemed to just snuggle into their happy place at that measurement. Man that rear most snap on the canvas is a bear to snap into place. The canvas needs to stretch a little. Being a bit chilly here today the canvas was stiffer than I would have liked it to be for the first install.

Sounds like you have it in hand. I set the front of the top at cab height, hooked it, then went to the rear to tighten down. Taking time to look at it from several angles to see if it's "O.K.". Had to play with it a bit to get it level. Once you do, the front and rear snaps will fall in line. Or loosten all straps, snap the side panels, and figure it out from there. I can understand the frustration of putting this thing together. That's why I waited a week to try again. You'll get it with a little patience. It can, and will, finally fall into place.

I thought I'd share with you how I installed my Bedslide. I decided to elevate it using 2x6's and 3/4 plywood in lieu of mounting to the floor of the truck. I wanted to have additional storage by having multi-layer model. I felt that if I mounted this to the bed then it would be a challenge to stack stuff in order to take full advantage of the entire truck bed with the topper on.

Got the A.R.E Overland put on.
My only question is anyone else have their leaf springs sitting flat? What’s the best option?

Love the debadged look of this. I just recently took my badges off (both doors and v6 on back) I have been debating on taking off the TRD Sport Sticker on the bed but I can't replace it if I do.. any info on the grill? I'm also debating painting my sport grill black or wrapping it with what I am going to wrap the chrome bezel with.

Got a new license plate cover, flat black metal one to match the plastic. Not a big fan of free advertising.. Also put one of my own stickers on the window. Not gonna go nuts with stickers and stuff since I like things super plain and clean. I just saw two pages back a guy took the black vinyl off between windows, that seems pretty nice I may try it. 8B1E1634-1CCD-4BD6-86F2-5BA6A4D9393A.jpgC8EB5DB1-4518-484F-AA4D-83937C469087.jpg12E33788-DC8E-4957-B1E4-F429FFBEFCB9.jpg

So I just looked at my 2018 TRD Pro and the back is definitely sitting way lower than the front. About 5.5" from top of tire to lip of the fender and in front it's closer to 7.5". Also took some pics of the leaf spring and it is fairly flat on mine as well. Guess I'll have to look into beefing up the suspension. Can't wait... Not. :)

Kinda makes sense if the thief just wants them for their own truck.
