    Thought maybe a throttle position sensor could be it.

    When I did my tb, (just the 70) but doesn’t matter. The battery was disconnected for a while cuz we were doing the radiator too. When we finally got around to reconnecting the battery and starting it, it definitely idled lower. It was off. I didn’t even take it on a test run I didn’t have to because to me I knew it was going to run different. My buddy reset the idle to what the TRD tune was and now I’m good.......maybe you just need your Idle reset??

    Are running the Trd tune or ucon?
    I somewhat ran into a similar thing you are experiencing; the TCAI that was utilized in the urd mk1 supercharger kit, the pipe elbow right before it exits the rad support overtime was rubbing against the passenger headlight connector and eventually frayed it enough that it was short circutting. It was the gremlin behind numerous weird codes and causing gears to hold thru excessive rpms, clunking on shifts, and even stalling the truck at low speeds or while stopped at lights. All of this caused by a simple short that was nearly impossible to see. Called up gadget and to my amazment he had never heard of it ever happening. After discovering the cause, I cannot see how it didn't happen to every single mk1 owner out there as there was no place for the intake elbow to rest but against that headlight connector.

    I did mine like @Roostfactor. I'm just wondering if it's a sensor going wrong with throttle delivery. Runs south as silk otherwise.

    You could try disconnecting the meth and plugging your inlet. Remove the fuse for the pump and disconnect battery. Let it learn and see how it does. If no change then you eliminated the meth from the problem.

    When you are taking about fuel economy even proper shift points matter to squeeze the most out of economy all whilst maintaining proper power curve to be able to make it up a simple incline. I found Nissan actually has one of the best shift logic's out there for their transmission's, as much as I hate that brand with the burning passion of a thousand fiery hell's, they got shift logic down to a T on their standard automatic transmissions. Their CVT's as expected suck to no wits end.

    Ask Toyota why they suddenly added an air pump to 2012-2015 taco's where other previous years didn't have it. You will find that small tweaks and updates (usually for the worse) are implemented by the manufacturer as a vehicle generation progresses in order to better comply with CAFE's ever increasing chokehold grip to make a vehicle as "green" as possible.
