This is amazing. Would you mind hyperlinking your exact rack and cargo tray? Their website appears to be transitioning towards the newer Max products.

Man this is cool!!! I already have a DB cover (the HD version) and I mounted some cross bars. I saw this video on OB and immediately started looking into the KBV rack. I have a few questions.
    1 - Pros?
    2 - cons?
3 - Would you have done anything differently?
4 - What do i need to know before diving in?
5- I'm just planning on the rack over my cover, will i need to relocate any parts/pieces?

Feel free to DM me as to not created a convoluted thread.

Pros is that it is WAY sturdier than previous versions. I love the lightweight aluminum and won’t rust. Con, it costs, but buy once cry once.
At this point no I wouldn’t do anything differently, the mods to the cover work great and I just loaded up my rack tonight as I head to a Death Valley on Thursday.
I have a short bed truck and long bed rack. I like how it looks and I didn’t mind making the changes to my cover to accommodate it. If you don’t have the cargo tray you don’t need to move the locks, just the tie down handles. If you use your truck for camping or off-roading and want more utility this is a great rack

So I loaded on my rack with my new iKamper tent. I added 4 rock lights underneath the bike mounts to give it great area lights. Rock lights are waterproof, durable, and cost way less than dedicated area lights. I added 2 more on the top part of the rack above the drawer so I could see what I need when loading or unloading gear from the cargo tray. My power panel switches these lights. I added @KC HiLiTES multifunction LED chase bar to give me turn signals, brakes, flashing and steady on amber chase lights. I got a 12 pin connector that allows me to connect everything on the rack with a click. The photos don’t do justice.

Going for lower profile as well. LB version on a SB though. Clearly KB makes the best Diamondback compatible rack but I haven’t narrowed down a tent. Tepui and Yakima have some amazing military deals if that helps anyone out. ExpertVoice for Yakima and GovX for Tepui.
