No one wants a used ac condenser they're cheap new. Interior was kinda meh bit maybe it was worth something, I wasn't gonna eat my time nickle and diming that. Brake booster was probably a good sell though.

Not to mention how much a pain in the ass it is to part out a vehicle.

You can only take so many people that want parts then when it comes to pay, they become Casper's.

Boxing the parts then the buyer fades into the woodwork when you quote the total price. That gets old real fast.

 

I personally never really had that issue, I’ve sold tons and tons of parts - never had someone disappear on me. They’d usually let me know if they changed their mind or anything.

 

It's gonna sound crass but I really don't have time for nickle and dime parts. Anything under $100 profit (after s&h) doesnt really feel like it's worth it.

 

I suppose. It’s not for everyone. It does add up quickly though for parts that are otherwise just sitting around.

It’s good money for a student like me.

I don't know if I should feel sorry or envious of some of my coworkers. Some of these guys have mad skilled trades abilities. Yet once they get off the clock they won't touch a tool. I've visited some and it surprises me that the only thing hanging on the wall of their garage is broom and maybe a hammer. I'm not judging, just can't imagine not working with my hands.

 

I dunno what kind of town you live in but a lot of the skilled trade workers around here just do drugs in their free time

 

I have to say I don't think there is a more WASP, middle class area anywhere in the US.

Its pretty tame.

Speaking of truck. We had a corolla xrs traded in.. they’re sending it to auction.. so my boss told me to take what I want off it for my corolla. Lol I got me a strut bar, rear seat stiffener bracket, and some other XRS goodies.... so now my corolla is subject to mods it doesn’t need

If you see a 05-08 corolla Xrs or a matrix the same years with rear discs. You should totally get me the backing plates from the rear wheels.... I want to convert my rolla to rear disc... because the damn drums keep squeaking (junk drums) not dropping 180 on Toyota drums if I can convert to disc for like 250-300

 

I’ve never seen a Japanese car that new at the junkyard. They usually go to auction to be repaired, or go to speciality scrappers.

 

Hmm. Oh well.

 

There’s a single 2005 Camry LE within a 100 mile radius, but that’s really it.

 

Camry don’t work lol

 

That’s like the only 2005+ Toyota at my local yard. Haha.

You never see newer Japanese cars. Tons of newer American or European cars, however.

There’s so much value in Japanese cars.
