Ultimate wasp trap -

Take a 3 liter soda bottle and cut around the top where it tapers with a razor blade.

Fill the lower section with 1/3 soda. Red/orange soda works well. A monster energy drink works pretty good too plus they get all crazy before they die.

Add a teaspoon of vinegar - this will deter honey bees (which are beneficial and becoming endangered! )

Add a teaspoon of dawn soap. This breaks the surface tension so they can't stand on top of the liquid. I.e. they drown easier.

Put the cut off top section upside down inside the lower section without the cap on.

Clean their little carcasses out every few days otherwise new wasps will be deterred.

Never knew they varied direction of construction based on the Eskimo's dominant hand. Pretty cool, makes me want to try to build one. I just see my first one crashing down on me as soon as I start to lean the blocks inward.
