Am I correct in assuming that I can find the link for the updated PCM Flash on the OV website, in the posted instructions for install?

I'm still rocking the PCM Flash version from back when 1.03 for the MT dropped lol

 

Been holding my dongle since yesterday afternoon.

Question for you mid-day flashers If your engine is already warm from driving, you flash new tune (say 1.05), how will it learn the cold idle targets? Sure you can let it idle for ~10 minutes, but the engine is already warm. Do you just let it idle for another 10 minutes the next morning? Maybe @OVTune can chime in?

I'm pretty sure that's for Flash Manager, for which there will be a new version. PCM Flash is for flashing the truck, which should not have a new process and will not until handheld units are released since they operate differently

Can't agree with this more. It usually starts with everyone talking about how Matt is a God then two weeks later "my truck is misfiring", "it shifts like crap", "it's learning again"

The tune obviously has learning as evident by having the let the truck idle for 15 minutes after the tune is loaded. During this phase it is changing parameters and adjusting itself.

 

Oh and don't forget someone bitching that we are not staying on topic.

That's different. The engine needs to learn certain things.
The transmission however, does not need to learn that you drove Granny to church on Sunday. And forever more thinks that you want to drive.. well.. like an old lady.

 

I guess I just don't understand the point of the learning... It drives me nuts and I flipping hate it, and I think I have yet to hear a single person say ANYTHING positive about the learning, at least on here anyways....
