I didn't... but only because I've never seen it before. Now I do! That looks awesome.

You know anyone who uses these, or heard more about them? Can't find much for reviews, also no information at all on how powerful the LED's are. I have a very definite use for these in mind and would buy two right now probably if I could get some more info.

Bit of a bind here... Using the total chaos ubolt relocation kit in reverse fashion on my Dakars. Fitment isn't an issue but the torque of the ubolt is... I'm at the point where the ubolts are bending and the bracket is bowing up in the middle... Aiming for 80ft lbs and I'm not getting anywhere near it since the bracket is just flexing.... I'm barely at 50ftlbs

    Thoughts?

Not at the moment, but they are really, really cool. I like how you can snap off the 4 surrounding lights and clip them all over the campsite.

What size and grade bolts are those? They look like 1/2 inch grade 5? If that's the case I think they're only supposed to be torqued to a max of 70ft/lbs. Unless they're plated, in which case I think it drops them down to the mid 50's...

Longer U-Bolt with locktite? Get as tight as you can without bowing out like that and get as close to 75-80 ftlbs as possible? idk...my thought is make use of the longer thread so there's less risk of coming completely loose? Just spit-balling and could be totally wrong. Cuz those threads look shooooooort.

Yeah isn't OEM rated to like 70-75?

They are the wheelers ubolt flip kit bolts trimmed down to clear the Firestone riderite kit... They're short because of the total chaos bracket dropping them down. I haven't bottomed out of thread yet but am about 1/4 inch from doing so. This kit was designed for spring under axle applications but it seemed fine to use in this application.

I'm at about 55ftlbs torque and if I back them off now they remain bent. I'm at a bit of a loss. Total chaos said to go straight to 85 but he never mentioned the ubolts bending... The all pro flip kit I had before this had thicket ubolts.

That really does not look good. I'd send that photo to Total Chaos and ask them WTF. The bracket bending is causing the u-bolt to bend also and could easily cause them to fail prematurely. Maybe it's the camera angle, but that looks like an excessive amount of give for the amount of torque being applied.

Spring under or spring over shouldn't matter. I agree with what Noel said, could just be garbage grade u-bolts. I wouldn't keep cranking on them though.

Long shot but does anyone have a decent/reasonable electrician in metro west/central Ma? Looking to wire an outside connection and generator transfer switch. There is already a circuit run out there where a hot tub used to be.
    Shoot me a PM.

Said fuck it I'm going.back to my all pro flip kit and buying a new leaf pack setup to hold the weight. Pissed off and don't want to deal with this bullshit of Frankenstein fitment junk.

Firestone ride rites brand new for sale. The other brackets are in the garbage.

so I read ahead and came back here. The bracket doesn't look very robust at all. Spring under/over shouldn't matter since either way you are putting the same stresses and bending everything in the same direction. U-Bolts appear to be to small, and should be a grade 8 (anodized gold in color). That bracket should also be closer to 1/2" in material versus what it looks like and 3/8" or 5/16". If you have the capability to pull these off and put the old ones on I would. And call TC and bitch that all their shit is bending. You are putting a lot of stress into everything and it can result in a really bad day
