I ran the numbers. This command has been made eleventy trillion billion times on the internet and has never ever been followed. I am hopeful though that this one will finally work!

Actually, UCAs add caster by moving the top of the spindle to the rear, which actually pushes the tire back a little. He can just take it to an alignment shop and have them add some caster by moving the LCA forward and that could give him enough clearance.

I tried the heat gun but that didn't get it far enough away, I'm running 265/70/17 on HD rims. I eventually had to take them off. I'm going to be ordering a 1" spacer and put my mud flaps back on.

A 1” spacer will make you rub worse.

I have the same set up and mine didn't rub at all. Then I got an alignment done and it rubbed a little bit on full lock. Then I had them recheck the alignment and it fixed the issue. Just my 2 cents

Yep, same issue. Except I only notice it while turning near full lock in reverse.

You can cut them or change your alignment. I've tried both myself.

I have rubbing too. 265/70/17 Falkens on stock height 2019 tacoma DCSB sport 4x4. 1.25 spidertraxx spacers. any ideas on what to do to stop the rubbing on my mudflaps. I cant envision the alignment being an issue. does anyone know of any mudflaps that dont get mounted in the wheel well?

Didn’t wanna start a new thread for this, but I had to heat up my flaps for my 265 70 17’s to stop rubbing.

Just a tip that worked well for me, heat up the flap really good with the heat gun till it’s almost glossy looking then take a hard piece of snow or ice and press it into the spot you need pushed back and hold it there for a few minutes till it cools back down. Mine formed tight back against the fender well and stayed tight and hard like that. Was trying to push it back with heavy hammer just holding pressure first and it was making a mess but the icey snow worked very well.

I put 17x7 et4 (4Runner TRD Pro) wheels with 265/70R17 (Falken Wildpeak A/T3W) tires on my OR with stock suspension. They only rub the mudflaps at about a 1/2 turn under braking or aggro reverse. I don’t plan any suspension mods, and I wanted to keep the OEM flaps.

Rubbing was only on this little bump out, so I used a heat gun and some scrap steel to countour the bump to better follow the rest of the flap.

This is the first smush. I probably hit each one flap with the heat gun 4 or 5 times to really smooth it out.

    Unmodified bump out.

    Modified bump out.

I’ve only driven with these for about a day (trying hard to force some rubbing), so far it seems like problem solved.

Just take the damn mud flaps off. Problem solved. And now people are putting pics of a third gen as if that solves the problem? Just get a Honda Pilot and call it a day.

OP you might want to check the small front facing mudflaps under the bumper. I was sure that it was my front mudflaps rubbing, but after trimming a few times they were still rubbing. I had my wife help me look at where the contact was and it was actually the small flaps to the front of the tire. I just removed them and no more rubbing.

Sorry! there’s two pretty similar threads on this and I chose the wrong (2nd gen) one. I meant to post in 3rd gen forum.
