Thanks for the reply. Making physical goods is hard, especially in start-up mode. I'm just holding their delivery/communication to the same standard that I'm holding the actual product. I won't give it another thought until summer next year...

I’ll be happy when I get mine. The first ‘can u take delivery tomorrow?’ And then getting pushed off for weeks hasn’t helped my sunny outlook.

I get it but it’s annoying.

You're severely underestimating the power of digital marketing. They currently have 15,600+ followers in instagram. The potential to reach a mass market completely blows word of mouth (or in person experience, whatever you wanna call it) out of the water.

Every CC I have sends me a barrage of those stupid “convenience” checks monthly... 12 or months no interest... it’s not a TERRIBLE option honestly. I believe there is some fee associated though it’s much less than CC interest....

    Just saying... :spending:

Well you only need a $500 deposit to put your name on the list. They don’t ask for the remaining balance until they start the build. I’m just saving up for it while I’m waiting for them to start the build.

Keep in mind, Wiley and Graeme are engineers and makers. They are not back office, phone answering, email watching, sitting at a desk kind of people.

They've been smart enough to hire excellent talent in their fabrication, sewing, and office staff. I think everyone that has talked to Elise has had nothing but a positive experience.

That said, once you see a GFC in person, you won't care about wait times and small communication lapses. Their work and attention to detail on the product itself is outstanding. Truly outstanding.

Order number 1284 has been placed! After completing a 4400 mile road trip earlier this month I determined that I was ready to switch from a Tepui to a GFC. It really came down to if the wife enjoyed the trip or not. She loved it, so I can justify getting a GFC. Hopefully we can get it next year during our October road trip!

Yeah, I think the part about him living in San Diego is MUCH more hurtful to me than him getting his camper! Winter is coming to Minnesota!

I don't know, to each their own for sure, but I've lived everywhere up and down the west and weather is nice to have.....I could only take 3 years of southern California sunshine before I needed the snow and rain back in my life :p

I still get to travel down there for work a week every two months so I get the best of both worlds.

    Hey Everyone

Snow report from Colorado. About 8-10" last night (no I wasn't camping). Most has already melted off. Very little water intrusion.IMG_2753.jpg

Need to put snow tires on though. Update on the GoLite Bed Deck. How Long does it take to go from thisIMG_2741.jpg
    To this:IMG_2759.jpg
    IMG_2760.jpg
Just under 2 minutes. For those of us that still need our truck beds.

Wow! Where does one find this magical GoLite Bed Deck? Seems like a great solution.

Nice! I might have missed it in your other post, but what keeps the panels from sliding away from when bouncing around?

Scenic City: The Go Lite Bed Deck is just an idea. That's the great part of the GFC: everyone has a different solution in their mind. That said, I think there may be a Graeme/Wiley potential Go Lite Bed Deck that is a better solution than mine. The product I used is OK, I'm pretty happy with prototype 1, but next gen will better I bet. I forgot to show the panel that converts to a table (25x57) if you need it. Wolf pack stairs to get into the bed.F600263F-01FB-44B7-9E1F-D74E0F483321.jpg
Tonered: I put a duplicate bed rail for additional support and for securing my mtn bike. Then I used a couple 3/16" pins to secure it. I went Den to Bozeman without a topper and it rode great. These two pics are in the stealth bike mode and it uses one pin in front. With the L shape (16x57) panel I use 2 pins. Locks right in. I use a 1" tie across the wolf packs for insurance.
    Simple solutions are best IMO.AA1A317A-273D-42A3-B382-8E24319BA97D.jpgE509C942-74E7-43CE-9438-9717C4EA006B.jpg

I also used a couple pins per wolf pack through the 25x57 panel and a non structural part of the WP;they seem to work great. Thats my solution anyway.IMG_0307.jpg

That's fantastic! Now that I'm on the preorder list I've started trying to design a good solution for the back. I've started reading through this thread to see other's ideas but it's taking a while. lol
