Camburgs over TC

Who is running Camburgs . how do you like them and are they 7" or 6.5?

 

what are you talking about, coilovers, long travel?

 

Sorry im talking about UCA's. I want to get a set but im on a budget. I dont do any real crawling but i do go offroad sometimes. i just want to correct my alignment and have a nice ride on and off the road

 

i got the camburgs, im really happy with them so far, no rubbing or alighment issues with them at all!!they are great on and off road!!

 

They are fairly close in design, but the camburgs use a uniball designed specifically for the Taco and the TC uses one that is generic to all their setups. Don't know that it would make a huge difference either way, there are a lot of people running both brands with good results. I'd prolly go with the one with the better price/customer service myself.

There ya go. But who would want 2 more inches in baja??? That's probably overkill...

 

more travel is a big plus in off roading, meaning rock climbing and trails, i would know so much about baja since that is not my thing. so far they been good to me.if they break i will let u know

 

Might want to check your facts w/Mjp2... he was running All-Pro(poo)'s arms, not camburg...And why don't you ask the guys at Camburg, its not the same uni-ball, they are specifically made for the tacoma, and yea are a harder material, but i've never heard anyone else say a harder uniball is more prone to squeaking. Your TC is soft enough not to squeak but hard enough to stand up to off roading, does this make sence to anyone else
Whatever way camburg gets more travel, its 2" more travel, and i've yet to ever see/hear of a camburg arm fail

Guys there are big differences in the arms. First off we use heat treated stainless steel spacers that do get significantly more angle in return giving you more travel. I have done the numbers with the 2005 Tacomas and we get close to 2 more inches of wheel travel, compression and droop. Now with our arms we can get all the compression with the stock lower bump stops. Can they? No... There arms will bind the spacers when you are 1/4" into the lower bump stops. If you don't believe me go check for your self. if you have the competitor arms go take out your coil-overs and cycle the suspension. Remove your stock lower bump stops and watch as the upper spacers bind. now measure your bump stop and tell me what you see....
We have put in our time designing our arms making them get the most travel and great geometry to improve handling. And our arms are priced very fair. Could we charge more? yes! But I would feel bad doing it. I know our arms cost more to build they have more expensive parts in them but yet they cost what they should cost. This in return gets you the consumer the best value and quality available. Talk to the dealers that sell them both and see what they say...."

Its also mentioned in that thread by a guy who's used both TC & Camburg that the adapter is a better design on the Camburg arms, and had smoother travel

 

whew glad it wasnt the camburgs breaking, ive had all pro's before and didnt like em. totally different world
