For my long travel I got wheels that were tucked in as far as I could get them. This way I got the most travel I could without being so wide. I can fit 11" of width at the center of the tire (where it balloons). Otherwise, the tires will rub on the spindle. I had to get rid of my All Pro spindle gussets for this reason (they stick out past the factory spindle about .5"). I could get spacers but then I might as well get wider arms for more travel. What do you think about me test fitting one of your wheels on my truck so I can see if I can fit the same tires?

Just put plates on from a different car. It has worked for me numerous times.

I just got approved for vacation time on Friday, but they might have me working help desk from 3 - 5pm. That usually means waiting for the phone to ring on a day that is either likely to have no problems, or some horrendous issue.

If only there was a solid Sprint signal or if I had internet at TSF...

EDIT: False alarm! I'm off the hook!

DEQ doesn't matter for trail rigs. Heck, if you live in Salem you don't need to send street vehicles through DEQ. That's mainly a Portland thing.

I don't think trail rigs need any tag except the OHV permit.

The license thing is still an issue though. I think the fine was $2500 for driving.

    There's no rules against you being a co-pilot ;)

wow that's a big fine! I don't have that much money, yesterday I got a little excited because of the sun and had to go wheeling, good thing I didn't get caught driving there, I broke my reverse light that hangs below my back bumper, I need a bigger lift or a bobbed bed. Right now I'm trying to get a buddy to take me out there, so we will see.

I've never been to TSF but am considering joining you guys. How far from Portland is it to where you guys will be? Or all.on.black, maybe you can tell me if I would even go through Portland to get there? I'm in Kirkland.

4 hours. I recommend taking hwy 30 to avoid traffic.

    Map is on first page.

I would take Hwy 30. Don't have to go through Portland and it's shorter by a few miles.
