There's an end dump at the yard right now with misc scrap that could be used for an alternate purpose. It's not leaving the yard till it hits 22T. If you've got time come take a gander this weekend. If you paid attention to/noticed the oddities my boss had laying around there could be a come up to be had, or even material to construct a prototype Snell Fab gas tank skid...

Possibilities are endless. If it's in the end dump it's up for grabs. Mostly cast or hardened steel and heavy shit but there's some smaller iron and aluminum. The last of American made steel. Just sayin.

I'm in the Renton Citizens Academy right now and I think they have 4 spots open. Their new chief seems like a pretty stand up guy.

A post sample MG is a machine gun manufactured after 1986. The Hughes Amendment attached to the 1986 FOPA means that MGs made after 1986 are not transferable, and "post samples" can only be possessed by manufacturers, or by dealers that have a "demo letter" from a local LE agency. Getting demo letters is a pain in the ass.

It's a really stupid law, but what gun law isn't for the most part. To wit:
An M16 made in 1985 is considered "transferable". But they cost upwards of $30,000 since the supply is artificially limited by law. 39 states allow private ownership of machine guns (not WA, but OR and ID both do.)
An M16 made in 1987, while identical to the one made in 1985, is a "post sample" and not transferable. This means it requires a demo letter to be possessed by a dealer, and would cost around $700 to acquire.
