What's with all the people "idling?" I thought ECU learning had to run through various RPMs to get the dynamic advance multiplier back to 1. Or does Toyota not use a DAM...

Where is the link to these files?

Why doesn't the Flash Manager display the new software?

Tonight's release was for the dongle users
You need to download the files and open with PCM flash

I flashed Otto 91 and it feels great based of the quick 10 mile test drive I took. Hope to get more time on it this weekend in 4 low ect...

That's the Alpha thread that covers both these days.

For the record, "these days" is inaccurate. The alpha thread has always covered both, that's nothing new.

It's just that there's so many damn AT owners that their own specific thread gets ignored and they've adopted the alpha thread to be the "AT thread" lol

Gong to pick my truck up in the morning from getting my leaky center brake light fixed. Once I’m home I’ll flash and start racking up the miles

Alright, went for a short drive this morning to give 1.05 a test, and I'm a happy man. I know the unofficial agreement is no big reviews until 300mi, but I don't see any harm in my comments after 24mi, which included both city and some highway driving. Don't murder me @MOC221_ . Lol

I am running 1.05 91oct Modified Full Otto, and I gotta agree with @JJ18ORDBSBMT and his assessment from last night. Gears 1-4 have excellent power delivery, 5th is a great highway passing gear, and actually so is 6th to a decent degree if you're at around 23/2400rpm or higher and have the open space ahead of you to just leisurely continue on by whomever was holding you up.

Now, this is going to sound weird, don't attack me for saying this, but it honestly gives the truck a sort of v8 feel. Like someone took the baby v8 4.7L out of my wife's 4runner and put it in the Tacoma, and then dramatically smoothed out the power delivery. Idk, weird comparison maybe. For the record, this opinion or thought or comparison or whatever could also be influenced by the very cold air and my TRD exhaust providing some excellent throaty background notes that I don't frequently hear from my little v6 lol anyway, the point is that 1.05 has my Tacoma feeling like a truck with some real balls now, rather than a highly off-road-capable camry lol

This is just a collection of my initial thoughts, not a final review.

You heard it here first, 1.05 gives the Tacoma a v8! Now everyone should be happy!

It's a very early weird thought/comparison and I reserve the right to decide that I was just excited and was wrong about what I was initially thinking lol my wife's v8 4runner is the closest Toyota vehicle I have with personal experience that I can use for comparison, and it is 10 years old too so...

@Shellshock @MOC221_ was it Mat who brought up the no reviews til 300mi thing? Because if so, I'll take down my post

Gotcha. Well either way I know how strange it is to compare my Tacoma to a 2008 4.7L, so I'm self conscious about it.

Gotcha. Like I said to @Shellshock I know how weird the comparison is. It's just the first thing that sprung to mind while driving and stuck there lol don't want people going overly crazy about the v8 4.7L part
