Hmmm. yeah I guess you never know until you ask, but unless he wants you to have it so it doesn't get chopped 4k seems on the low end. What he is asking is more than fair IMO, especially with all the extras.

Buy it, swap Franks stuff onto it, turn frank into a full blown $250k trophy truck...boom problem solved:D. I’ve had some long gaps on here, what is so wrong with frank that you’re considering parting him onto another truck?

    Nothing haha

I just want a double cab. Been wheeling with Igor and have come to really enjoy the double cab platform. Actually like the smaller bed. And the bigger cab is great.

Plan was to maybe find a prerunner double cab and swap everything over. Or a wrecked one which I just missed one that would have been perfect for this.

But then this one popped up. its nice. High mileage but all the bells and whistles.

Yeah you need to replace that POS haha

The lil truck is good. But the clutch is going out. Speedo needs fixed still..

And the leaf spring is still broke. So is the one on this double cab though..

There is a weird metalic sound that happens when I engage the clutch that I can only hear on the first gear and sometimes 2nd. Not sure what it is.

Motor mounts need replaced too but I have those parts from Frank.

Giving me problems? not really. But im about to drop a few grand into none the less.

Yeah im gonna offer him something. But he won't take it. And that is fine. least I can say I tried instead of letting it go by haha

Its was either 35 or 33k. 2001. He had the window sticker for it. I saw it haha

probably didn't get it for that but still. Stealership at its best.

The locker would go to Igor no doubt. And Igor would get a blower from Frank. Igor's axle would go to Frank for now till I get a 9''. Which I found locally for 250 haha

Locker locked right up after going in reverse. Unlocked right away.

Sorry man, but I think what ever he showed you is bogus. In 2001, the new price of a Double Cab, v6, auto, 4wd was $22K. I am sure the limited package added a little to that but not as much as is being claimed.

Sorry to butt in and through a completely new and off topic subject in, but most here seem like they would have an idea.

The Wasatch-Cache NF is closing a metric shit ton of forest roads tomorrow to preserve them for the winter and there’s basically no snow anywhere.

Is this how other NF’s run things? Close road at a set date not just when the conditions get bad? The Ashley NF does it the second way. Again, sorry for distracting.

Limited package. Factory install blower. Running boards. TRD package. They charged 3k for the blower alone. It was over 30 grand man haha

Yes just about every NF around here does that. Though they usually close trails in the spring not always the winter. keeps them open for snowmachines. Then like from March to mid July they close them so that while the snow is melting and it would normally be a sloppy shit show people aren't tearing things up.

Jesus haha whats takin so long!

I can't install the clutch myself here. Could probably go to Powell to do it though. Be a PITA to do on the ground. Got a 1200 quote from the dealership for it. Only 180 bucks I think for them to fix the speedo which I'll gladly pay. I do not what to deal with the cable routing. Its a PITA. Done that once, never again.

Would do an OEM clutch for sure. No need for anything else in that truck. I didn't win the lotto so no turbo for lil red lol

Igor needs new leaf packs but they aren't broken. Nothing else really needs done on Igor at the moment. Besides an oil change right now.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
SG and UG won't read any speed if the cable is broken on a 95-97. The speed sensor is in the gauge cluster. Anyway doing the clutch on the ground isn't bad if you have a trans jack. I'm in the middle of another clutch job RN and it took me maybe 45 mins to pull all the bolts and get the thing on the floor. Add in 4wd and that brings it up to maybe 1.5hrs. Get r done

Yeah no you can't haha plus i mostly want the OD to work again. I don't need the speedo to work. Been driving these things for so long I now how fast im going off of what gear im in and rpms.

Yeah maybe I'll spring for a tranny jack from HF.

And you're doing the taco in 1.5 hours?? I find that a bit hard to believe. Least on the V6. The bell housing bolts suck to get too.

A big factor for me is time. Just don't have it and my schedule is all over the place. I never seem to get consecutive days in a row to work.

Not having a heated place to work is big too or with any good lighting. Just more shit to buy to work in there.

    This.

You've got three. You use two. You don't need four. Make Igor help Frank a little more by becoming (a more comfortable) Frank. Drive the red truck as your daily; have only two trucks to spend money on (and use).

Put the money towards a house, and eventually, be able to go on trips whenever you want since you didn't have to maintain a whole fleet of trucks. That's a good life, trust me. ;) :luvya:

I know. But you won't. You know how you always tell everyone how great LT and load-C tires are? And you know how Devin wishes there were an interior in Frank?

    It'll be better.

Plus, the red truck will just be the new Igor, until it becomes Frank. Circle of life for your trucks. hahahahahaha

That’s fine and makes sense, lock the gates when things get shitty, not before there’s even snow on the ground.

It cuts my hobby areas down a ton.

haha well I can't even run load C tires on Igor. I have tundra brakes on there. Think I finally just threw away my stock ones too...

LT is great though and 35s :luvya:

Devin also does not want me to make Igor into Frank. She likes how it is to take on simple trips that even don't include going into the woods or offroad. I don't think i'll do that plan. Though in reality would make the most sense.

idk. Im gonna call the guy and explain that I don't need it. Just want it. And can't really afford it when it comes down to it.

If it was a few months later in life Id probably take it though. Just need the raise to happen first.

Yeah different area's do it differently. Depending on traffic in the area. Some camp ground around here close right after labor day. Super weird.

Yeah Devin has her own car. Honda Insight.
