the second time I came across him he gave me a tip on some house to rob, so I guess that's one advantage I've found to helping folks.

and the snake venom guy met me in town once and told me to go into the general store and buy any 1 thing on his dime. I bought a 100$ outfit lol

 

I did the same. I hit Y to get back on my Horse right after but instead I grabbed the guy in a headlock. I panic pressed B to let go of him and that punched him in the head.

 

I'm a little behind. I only just beat Chapter 1. Is it just me or does John Marston always need rescuing? It's like he stopped sucking at being an outlaw after being shot by Williamson and saved by the McFarland's.

Has anyone really gone out and explored? If so are there any repercussions for leaving the camp for days, weeks, months?

 

Arthur actually makes fun of John from time to time about not being able to swim and to stay away from water, R* little easter egg about dying instantly in RDR1 when going into water.

I've gone away for a couple days but not much longer than that. I've been trying to do camp chores and bring in a deer in the morning whenever I do sleep at the camp.

 

I only just beat chapter 3 last night but I opened/explored the entire map that was available without repercussions. Also, if you do this and go north towards the military base and the mountains, you better have warm gear or you will die quick from the cold.

 

was your camp not out of supplies when you got back?

 

Yea pretty much, but I maxed out everything in my camp before I left so I counted on that "extra quantity of rations to suffice while I explored. I also donated everything I had beforehand since I knew I would hunt/fish for my food while exploring.

 

gotcha, yeah I keep my provisions maxed. I wait till it turns to red then I just buy the resupplies from the ledger so that it "fortifies" it

 

I've realized I always have way too much stuff in my inventory, but I don't know what to actually do with it. I haven't yet run into a need to use any of the tonics or stimulants. I also will just kill an animal and cook it if I get hungry, never really using the canned food and stuff in my inventory.

 

Yeah I've run into a couple situations when I kill a legendary animal it pops up and says "you cannot harvest all materials from this animal because your inventory is full blah blah blah"

but it doesn't tell me how much I can hold in my inventory or which section of my inventory is actually full....gets annoying...

 

Do you store stuff in your horse? I always forget to, but again, not sure what I'd use that stuff for.

Then when I go into a general store I tell myself I'll just sell basically everything, but when they are offering $.03 for a canned food, I say eff that I'll just find a time to use it, but don't..

 

yeah I do but I get on a run of looting or whatever and just forget lol

so much to keep up with in this game

i love it.

 

I haven't had time to play in a few days, might have to change that tonight.

 

Is there a way to transfer things from satchel to horse? I don't think I've figured that out yet

 

Looks like I was mixed up, can't store things you loot on your horse storage, only things like animals, pelts, clothes, hats.

I did the same and later met up with him outside the Valentine gun store and he said I can go in a pick out anything I wanted free of charge. I guess it pays to be good.

 

Who are you missing. Some of the members do patrols and are quite a ways from camp. Or are their mission icons at camp but they are not?

 

cause johns a greenhorn in rdr2. borderline useless character lol.

 

The 3 girls are gone as far as I can tell
