Probably snake oil, despite the positive reviews. Unless you see a serious uptick in MPG, you'll never really know if it did anything.

There's also a chance that it could screw up some sensors, which might be an expensive fix.

I don't see any reason to use it, especially in a new vehicle.

From what I remember reading about this stuff, people tried it and were sending their oil for analysis. It technically worked, and wear numbers of iron in the oil came down. However, it was such a little change that it was deemed unworthy. Also if you are not doing oil changes on the clock according to the directions on the bottle your spark plugs can glaze. Overall not worth it really. You can easily get to 300k miles by using quality oils and having a reasonable maintenance plan, and by then you'll be looking for an excuse to get rid of the truck. Plenty of oils are using moly as anti-wear now days. If they thought you needed more they would add it. In reality the additives in oil need to be within a narrow window of concentration for it to work effectively and to avoid chemistry issues with other additives. Just because an additives is an anti-wear agent or a detergent doesn't mean you should over dose on it.

I wouldn't bother with it......there's already organic molybdenum compounds in your motor oil in specific engineered ratios. It'd be like adding more hot sauce to a recipe.....sure it'll change it, but too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

I started using all of the Liqui Moly when I was racing dirt bikes. Still to this day I run it in our race UTV and my personal truck. The Ceratec is a really cool product. It bonds to the metal itself to create a ceramic layer for less friction.

They have some dyno test on polaris rzr which was pretty cool. They dyno'd it on stock oil. Did an oil change with their synthetic oil with matching weight with ceratec. Let it idle for 15 minutes. Then put it on the dyno. It jumped up 7hp right off an oil change.

I currently use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic and wasn't sure if more additives were needed for protection? I drive a 2017 Taco
