v8 comparison crazy on paper but i see where you're coming from with the comment. the ease of take off in 1,2,&3 under 1.5k is really different. not feeling like the V6 i'm used to.

Agreed and that "leap of faith" between 1st and 2nd got a lot shorter and smoother.

So I’m running the 87 tune like I always have.

I’m not going to say too much yet but I will say people should probably not go bananas right after flashing, ease into it a bit. This version DOES have significantly more low end power than EVER BEFORE and the rear end WILL cut loose.

This coming from the 87 tune guy, the least powerful one in theory.

I’m also a stock truck so keep that in mind.

I realize that there are a lot of other factors that play into it, but it'll be interesting to see the MPG difference
    between running MA and FO.

It was @MOC221_ who came up with the 'no review until 300 miles' rule. Should we totally ignore him? :p

I think I can finally say I no longer have envy of the 4.0. The 3.5 finally performs.

I need to put more miles on the clock, but I'm liking the 87 MA so far. Can't wait to hear what others think about the otto version.

    NOT TRUE LOL.

I was being sarcastic because some others were whining about glowing initial reviews followed by "my truck stutters/misfires/etc" posts a week later.

    Has it become a thing?!

    WEIRD

It’s because people didn’t let their truck idle for a full tank of gas duh. Follow the directions and you too can have a unicorn like @mZiggy

I've fallen victim to my own truck. Right after I flash everything seems great, but then I typically notice some surging etc. Some of those problems just take time to identify because they're often subtle.

It's already been mentioned, but what I dislike is that feeling that the truck is just trying too hard to go back to being fuel efficient and undoing the improvements. I know it has to learn, but I wish it would stop after 50 miles or something.

That would be me that stated the above and who agreed with someone stating to wait 300 miles prior to commenting. Happens every time, people love it then a few weeks down the road have "issues" pop up. I'm all for this to be the magic cure for our truck (still think the updated TSB is the best my truck has ever driven), time will tell. I'm also hopeful I'll actually notice a difference from stock to tuned power wise with this version.

Well, am I the only one who has a problem with 1.05? 93 octane modified atkinson 04B13 here.

I love the power off the line, and the throttle response. However, I urge you all to try this...Go up to 50ish while in 6th gear. Then just floor it without shifting.

Anyone notice? Hoping this is something I can figure out...since 1.05 is perfect unless you drive like a grandma on your daily commute.

Does someone have the 1.04 files for 04B13 for me to compare?

Going 50 in 6th gear and then flooring it is an absolutely absurd thing that I would never ever do lol
