You want to transplant the Gentex glass to the stock mirror?

Won’t work. The Gentex mirror is much thicker to accommodate for the several layers of glass and electronics that operates the auto-dim.

More I want to see if there is anyway to use the ball and socket mount and transplant that onto a Gentex mirror.

Thinking about it, I wonder if I could just 3D print a new backplate part for the Gentex to accommodate the ball/socket mount.

I wholly admit this is an exercise in stupidity but I kind of like the overhead mirror and want to keep it that way, plus it’s unique.

Wife and I went to brunch over the weekend to a place called The Hash Kitchen. A friend ordered Avacado toast and this is what they brought. Each piece of toast is 1.5" thick. and that crazy bloodymary!

 

That round disc is what the ball socket mounts to.

 

We needed a new pallet jack at work so I convinced the guys to go with Toyota !

Not stupid at all. I have seen someone custom make a bracket to mount to the map lights so you don’t have to epoxy a wedge. It’s on here somewhere, might be on the “unique mods” thread.
