You're not going to try and flash again? I went for service today and thought I had them onboard to flash the TSB, but Nooooo it didn't produce the symptoms. So I said screw it and Flashed 62-18 myself. Took no more then 10 minutes to load the TSB and 1.04R after. It had to be a connection hiccup for you. Just my experience today YMMV.

On a side note- It takes longer to do a test drive and tell me they can't reproduce the issue then actually just flashing the firmware. It just makes no sense to me.

What version of techstream did you use?

Did you trickle charge your battery?

Got the CUW files from here?

Techstream Ver 13.10.019 that I got off the internet and CUW file I got from this thread (I used the file for 04A61 ).
No charger on battery but I just recently drove the truck before hand.

So what exactly is being tested on 1.05 ? Also no mention of ECT in the updated 1st page, is that still just for more agressive shifts in 1.05 ir is it a tow mode now

Exactly what I did. Ran V12.30.017, used the CUW attached

I’m thinking that I let the battery get too low (but i was watching).

I may try again tomorrow morning!

I asked that question and was told by people on here that you CAN'T go back to old or "stock" tunes once you update....

I ask him the questions directly in email so there's no miscommunication and that's
exactly what he told me. I did not ask him about stock, only older tunes such as
    1.03//1.04.

I used a battery tender when I did mine just to be safe and had no issues.

From what I understand is if you update to the TSB your choices are stock, 1.04R or 1.05 when released. If you don't update you can go stock, 1.03, 1.04, and 1.05 when released. This is for automatics.

But just to be completely clear, once you go 1.05 can you ever flash back to factory stock, even if you don't get the TSB?

As far as I understand you can. When Matt released the 1.05 files to the manual guy's last night he said if there are any issues flash back to stock.

You don't have any weird communication drivers running in the task bar or background do you. If so disable them. I did that before hand, but I use my computer for automation programming so I got all kinds of crazy services running at start up. Just a thought....

Luckily... or unluckily, my stock battery died within 6 months and instead of getting the dealership to replace I put a X2 Power / Northstar AGM batter in there and no matter what I pretty much always have a solid 13v for flashing, no tender or trickle needed... FWIW
