Raining OIL?? Are you serious? Can it?

I highly doubt it can. There was probably some on the ground when it started raining. Unless they live under an oil refinery.

 

Man its fucking bad here, i can smell oil in the air at times during the day.

 

No that oil is just runoff from the streets.

 

A hoax? It's just someone with a video camera catching oil running into the drain, not sure how that means it's rain

It will be raining oil I'm sure when a hurricane goes to that area this summer. And Volvo's.

 

I'm not an expert on the subject but I think the rain water, caused the oil on the ground from left over exhaust from a car, to come up and have that look.
Go out side and spray your water hose on the ground where cars drive and you will get the same look on the ground. Or at least my streets do the same thing.
But I wouldn't doubt that some oil of some kind is in rain water, from gas emissions. I think they call that acid rain. Which may also lay on the street after the water evaporates. And when it rains again it brings up that oil.

He also said something about the Gulf? Is he talking about the oil spill, hard to tell?

 

I was thinking the exact same thing and actually happens.

Has there been tonadoes or waterspouts out in the ocean lately that would suck up the water & oil? It could happen..... I couldn't watch the video cuz this damn work computer blocked it

Yeah a water spout can pick up crap and throw it elsewhere...but I doubt thats what happened.

Actually that could be very true! The Benzene and many other "light ends" evaporate as soon as the oil reaches the surface, more so when the sun is shining. The rain might be carrying them back down as they are carried over land. When those tar balls wash up on the shore that is the bottom of the barrel material. The same process is done on land at a refinery to make your jet fuel, gasoline, diesel, HFO, Etc. Your light ends are heated up and separated as they rise.The rest of the heavy material usually ends up as grease, oils, and pet coke that is a solid black rock like matter.

That video could be completely fake though!

 

i sure as shit hopes it rains oil! i'm gonna start collecting rain water, seperating the oil using a centrifuge (me holding the buckets at arms length and spinning in circles as fast as i can) and selling it back to BP. i'm gonna get rich off this shit! its been raining alot here lately. maybe i should hire some migrant workers to do the spinning for me....
